Pot Smoking? How progressive. I guess that's the new High Tea crowd. This is what happens when you remove the Cigar Bar and replace it with an Arcade.

Yes very progressive and instead of little sandwiches and petit four cakes at High Tea.....they have a  High Munchie Spanada bar time and serve Doritos with a side of Cheetos!

    Here is the CBSA rule:

    “Liquor Outlets and Bars

Liquor outlets and bars must be closed while in port. Under no circumstances should liquor be given or sold to visiting Canadian residents, shore personnel, or stevedoring personnel while the ship is in port.

While in port, one bar per 1,000 passengers, or one bar per deck that provides hospitality services (whichever is greater), may be allowed to remain open. For example, if there are four decks providing hospitality services, four bars may be allowed to remain open.

A letter requesting permission to open bars must be submitted to the FPOA inbox at the beginning of the season. This letter must include the bar location, the time it will be open, and, once suitably endorsed by the CBSA, will act as standing authority to open these bars, while in port, for the entire season. For any amendments to the original request, or if special circumstances exist that require additional bars to be open, another letter must be submitted to the CBSA.

The CBSA will conduct spot checks to ensure compliance and this privilege will be revoked if any bar is open without permission or if any Canadian resident visitor, shore personnel, or stevedoring personnel is served in a bar. In addition, monetary penalties may be assessed to the cruise line.”

The last night sounds horribly chaotic 😧

No one else seems to be the least bit curious about how a partially eaten appetizer was served to you, but I am.  What was it, and how did that come about?

Yeah.....what's up with that? Was it pulled from another table in front of them? Was a bite taken out of it?

That would had me pulling the chef from the kitchen and letting him/her know what was done!

We always get the Plus pkg, but I always order the case of water for the room

on my Princs acct.  It costs $7.

I just like having it already in the cabin when we check in.

Yup....we have premier package and I just went ahead and ordered a 12 pak for $7 so its there when we get in. Far too hectic the 1st day to go round trying to get waters or get steward to bother with it.

It meets my definition of a scam, though I imagine they've kept it on the legal side of the line.

Certainly it's exploitative and it presents a bad look for Princess.

I try to be polite in dealing with strangers, but salesmen pushing a bad product that they know are rarely in the best interests of the customer deserve harsh feedback. Didn't strangle them. That's pretty polite, right?

I shut down and run when someone pulls high pressure sales tactics.

My ears start to bleed just listening to their blather!

Ok, I have eaten at the steakhouses on 4 different cruise lines.  Princess, HAL, NCL, and RCL.  I loved the salt selection at the Crown Grill, and have since bought some like it, but that is all I can say.  None of the four stood out to me.  Yes, the service was good, but the steaks were just ok.  Is it just me?

I do like some of the other specialty restaurants.  I think Sabatini's is wonderful, along with Le Bistro on NCL.

I don't think I will ever book a steakhouse on a cruise again.  For our anniversary cruise we have Sabatini's booked for $90.  As to that the cost of the meal that we are turning down in the MDR and it turns into a pricey meal.  It will be good, but not any better than what we would get here at home for the same cost.

You took the words out of my mouth regarding Crown grill on Discovery this past november!

My husband and I had a steak and it was tasteless with no seasoning.

I thought it was a joke and looked around for the cameras!

Best meal was Sabatinis so we went twice.

The best steak was in the regular dining room for lunch on a sea day! Utter perfection! They got it right but Crown Grill could not! Jeeze!

If they are onboard a ship, tbey are representing Princess. I never said they were employees.

Many TA's will package pricing so packages are included, but the cost is built in.  Buyers need to beware of "free" items.

Perfect example of "if it sounds too good to be true.....it probably is".

Durring the restart when the Majestic Princess was only half full, we wrote in French Toast and "Crispy Bacon". It was perfection!

So, How do we get half of the passengers to stay home?

Cut the cruise population by saying no vegan or organic items. Heathen meat eaters only cruise!

There you go...glad I could help!

  10. I couldn't imagine someone in our party bringing the rice cooker and expecting me to set it up, cook it, scoop it out, clean it out and do it all again the next day?!

Ya sure.......you better cart your happy backside to the buffet and get your own da** rice......I'll be in the nearest bar getting me a drink of the day!

My duck noodle soup tonite was ono. It's just putting a cup of my duck into a bowl of soup. Nothing different from someone bringing something from the buffet to have put into their soup which I've seen. I've brought cans of spam ( gotta love spam, eggs and rice) and have asked the buffet line to cook half for me and they get the rest. They've been more than happy to do it. I always give them an extra can for later.

    Are you serious?! 😅😂

It is a good thing that there is more than one cruise line. That allows us to have a choice.

When comparing cruise lines many people use different criteria.

When I pick a cruise, I have no favorite and I am not a cheerleader for a specific line.

Some people find fault or complain about trivial the things.

This is a real funny subject. LOL

So true.....I have no faves either.

I am looking for the best deal all around.....even itinerary is not a #1 issue.

Every cruiseline has it stuff that is not cared for.

The only cruiseline I somewhat avoid is one that would attract lots of kids.

But in my ballpark we go on cruises that aren't in summer vacay or holiday times!

rude? - by denying your write-ins as in ...

I always got what I needed in regards to write-ins and never saw anyone to be treated rudely.

But then again I never wrote in belgian waffles lightly toasted with clotted cream and organic field wild strawberries only. 😆😜
