  1. Is it possible to switch cabins so that people who want to purchase the drink package can, but not actually share a cabin? There are four of us cruising in which two want to purchase the drink package and two who can not drink alcohol due to medical reasons. We want to put the non-drinkers in the same cabin, but "on paper" only. Is this possible?

    TIA!!

  2. Now I have decided to wait to reschedule until they actually start cruising again (I took the OBC/FCC when I completed the form). My question is, I purchased excursions and drink packages with gift cards. Will I get refunded for those or will they hold them until I actually reschedule?

    Thank you in advance.

  3. We are taking this cruise on the Sunshine Feb 11. If you can wait until then I will post a review with fun times.

St Kitts -we are taking an island tour and then going to discovery beach bar. It is a new bar on a black sand beach, just down from the expensive cambriola club. Our tour agent said it wouldn't be very busy, had good food, and a view of the sunset since we are there until 8pm.

I will be on this cruise also. I did not realize until you mentioned it that we will be in St. Kitts that late. I have a tour booked, but will now have to find something else to do in the evening.

  4. Had the same thing happen to myself when my girlfriend passed. It would be cheaper to have him as a no show. I had a 7nt, out of Puerto Rico, aft balcony. I lost a pretty penny, but the hassle of trying to get my money back from a early saver rate I agreed to, was too much. Figure out if no show would be the way to go. My condolences.

When I called the first time, I asked about that option, and was told I would lose the prepaid tips and port fees, which as of right now, I have anyway. I am going to call Carnival back and have someone explain all of this mess to me. Thank you.

  5. Okay, before I call Carnival and make a complete idiot of myself, I have a question about canceling. I called today to cancel my deceased boyfriends reservation as I was not able to find anyone to take his place on such a short notice. I was told I would lose the 250 initial deposit, 50 would be the cancelation fee and the other 200 would go to a future cruise that had to be used within 24 months. The prepaid tips and port fees would be reimbursed to me. So this guy puts me on hold then comes back saying I have a balance of $42 and some change. At the time I did not think about it until now. The charge for the tips and port fees was $207 and change plus the 42 that i paid would equal 250. So if I understand this correctly, I lost Kevins prepaid tips and had to pay an extra 42 dollars, which means that I paid another 250 to cancel his reservation. This does not make sense to me. Can someone please explain this to me or did he do me wrong and I need to call carnival back?

  6. The love of my life and partner in crime passed away recently so in February, I will be crusing on the Sunshine by myself. Is there anything you can suggest that is a must for a single cruiser? I have my time dining, do the have tables for one? Is there a singles meet and greet offered? This will be the first time I have cruised by myself and I refuse to be stuck in my cabin when we are not at ports!

  7. Thank you all for your replies. We were hoping to do the tasting tour at Bacardi, but with our time constraints, I think the Forts will win. I am thinking that walking around OSJ will be a better option.

    Thanks again!

  8. We will be sailing to Puerto Rico next Feb. We arrive at 1:00 PM and leave at 8:00 PM. Would we have enough time to visit the Bacardi Distillery and do the tasting tour as well as see the forts in OSJ?

    Thanks in advance.

  9. We are also going to Belize in January and I have booked a Lamanai tour through Lamanai Belize Tours. It includes a boat ride to get to the ruins a Belize lunch and the tours. I have seen only good things about this company on Trip Advisor and they guarantee to get you back to your ship on time. I am really looking forward to this excursion.
