just want to let anyone know to be really careful to input the correct email address,or else the confirmation will go to the one filled in,even if it is wrong,and it is the DEVIL'S own job to get it changed. Be warned,thankfully Tui sorted it for us.

I spent ages doing things to get the photo sizes/and after getting our friend whose work is in IT, he sorted out things, and as with most amateurs, I had been trying too hard,and making unnecessary work for myself.

my result has come through in well under the 72 hours quoted, and now we just have to get OH's result,as it was done the following day. We have to apply for a free ETA for Sri Lanka, but that can be done on line a couple of weeks before we go.

Thanks to everyone who offered words of caution and advice, which was appreciated.

Still haven't heard from anyone else going on the same cruise, maybe they don't visit critic.

We are going on this cruise on December 6th, flying from Gatwick.

Is anyone else doing this itinerary, and if so, how are they getting on with the Visa application for india ?

We are not calling at Port Blair, Originally the info re e visas was that they were called multiple, but later there was an update for our itinerary and we just need "an E Visa purchased on line."Nothing was said about the details, so we assume they will be the same as those originally described.

sorry if I did this earlier, bnut can anyone give me information about uploading passport photos on an application form?

The photo must be 2 inches square, but the one in our passports is 3x4 when it is scanned on my pc, and it will not crop to a square shape. Are there any shops that can do what is required? If I had new photos, they wouldn't be the same as the passport ones, and apparently if they are rejected, the application must be made again and you have to pay again as your payment is not refunded.

We have booked a cruise/stay, sailing on Thomson Spirit in 3 weeks time.

Does anyone know when we will be told our cabin number?

I know it is possible to pay and choose a particular cabin, but I can find nothing that says when we will be given a number of our cabin.

When we get to the airport and our hold luggage isdropped we don't see it again until we get to the ship; that means that someone knows which cabin to deposit our cases, so when will we be told?

Are there the same restrictions in US customs about what can be carried in a holdall when cruising to Cape Liberty, as those we have when flying? No large bottles (make up) or manicure sets etc.

We are packing for our holiday which includes visiting three areas when we reach Cape Liberty and cruising home again on another ship, and I'd like to know if certain items have to be put in our cases.:confused:

We board her at Southampton and are getting off at Cape Liberty. It will be our first time in New York, so we will wave to anyone we see as we get near. We are looking forward to it>:)

Is anyone doing the trip giving 2 cruise ships and no flying itinerary?

it starts with going on Quantum of the Seas to New York; Amtrak trains take you to Washington, Niagara Falls and back to New York, each place a 3 night stay. Cruise back to Southampton on Queen Mary2 ?

It's supposed to be a group booking, as far as checking in on line with RC, but we haven't seen anybody else who's going.:confused:

:confused:We saw a package for Q of the Seas from Southampton to New York. It also said in the itinerary that an Amtrak train takes you to Washington DC to stay for 3 nights; another train goes from there to Niagara Falls for 3 nights. Amtrak then takes you back to New York for 3 nights, and then you go to the port to sail home on Q.M.2 You are given pick-up times at each hotel and drop-off times. Sounds exciting doesn't it?

It does not make it clear that you have to make your own way from port to train station, from station to hotel for each place.

We received paperwork a few days after having paid in full. When we tried to check in on line, we could not. Eventually we were told it was a group booking and we would be told when we could check in. This was a few weeks later.

Is there anyone else on this "group booking", and if so, what do they think about the information, or the lack of it?

Our cruise on Queen Victoria ends in Fort Lauderdale ; we fly from Miami to Heathrow at 8.35 pm.

I don't know what time we will have to leave F.L.to get to Miami airport, but I imagine it will be fairly early, say 9.30am. If we have to be in the airport two hours before take off, that means a wait of around 9 hours. Any ideas on what we can do?

A sight seeing trip on the way to Miami airport would be great, but alas,only in my dreams.
