  1. You must trade in the entire mini bar, all the spirits, beer, water and soda, not just the alcohol, for two coffee packages. There are no more coffee cards. No partial trade ins for one coffee package. You do this by calling room service.

Hmmm... Well, I already bought a 12 pack of water for the stateroom and was planning on bringing a 12 pack of my favorite soda so that could be worth it for me. Thanks.

Any tips for getting the most out of my new status?

  2. Hi, I'm sailing my first cruise as Elite and I heard through the grapevine that you can request a coffee card instead of the alcohol in your mini bar. I know they'll switch out for different types of soda which is great but I generally have about 1-2 drinks in a year so the alcohol is wasted on me. Has anyone ever traded their alcohol for a coffee card successfully?

Any other Elite things not printed in the official PCL materials that I should know about?

  3. We are going on our 5th Princess cruise in May .. and I have Never seen much less received a passport or stamp. What am I doing wrong ??

Make sure that you're always using the same CC #. On my next one, they created a new number for me even though I already had one. I would have ended up with none of my CC benefits if I hadn't caught it.

  4. Medallion roll out is scheduled to begin in 2 weeks, Aug 4. Only "a percentage" of guests will get a medallion immediately to test the system and it will be incrementally rolled out ship wide from there. The ship is expected to be fully medallion functional in September.

  5. The zip line on labadee can go down according to the wind last year when I was there if you weighed more than 195 you could not ride cause it was down wind you would be going to fast at the end.

Already did that one (see profile pic) but he is concerned that they might turn him away based on age. He's the healthiest 85 year old I ever met and can't imagine that they would turn him away so long as he signs the waiver.

  6. I know there is ALOT of info on this site but so much of it is outdated that it's hard to tell what the real deal is. I have a few questions that some recent cruisers can probably help with.

    - Do they still do the Prohibition Party? If so, sign up at guest services? If not, did some other thing replace it?

    - What movies are being shown currently?

    - Is Starbucks still included in the Ultimate bev package?

    - Is there a max age restriction on the zipline? (My 85 year old grandfather can't wait.)

    - Is there anything you wish you would have known about the ship before you went that you didn't?
