Hi Marcy! Thanks for posting your thoughts. I fully intend to blog about our cruise but haven't been able to sit still long enough to get started. I may need to reference this thread to help me remember what we did each day once I start writing. It was great to meet you guys. Thanks for being such a kick-butt trivia partner!

Here is my 6'6" husband in the shower (fully clothed). He was so happy to see that he had headroom, we didn't really think about the circumference of the "tube of cleanliness." Love that, by the way! He's 280 pounds or thereabouts, but he fits in there fairly well.

Are soft drinks provided in the MDR? Or are the only "free" options water, iced tea, and lemonade? I like to have a Diet Coke with my meals, so if it's not an option at dinner, can I bring in my refillable mug from the soda package? Or is that considered beyond tacky?

Thank you for posting, Niksmom. I LOL'ed at the notes in the margin about ice skating. That's the main reason we are sailing on the Navigator, so it's exciting to see there are a few days with open skate pretty much all day long. :)

Thanks for the replies. We will be sure to inquire about the FitnessCenter. And I'm glad that it seems many activities will be all-ages. Counting down the minutes until we set sail!

Our first Royal Caribbean cruise will be at the end of this month (Navigator). We have only sailed Disney before, and what usually happens is that we never see our tween son except for meals, but our teenage daughter prefers to stick with us for adult and family-friendly activities. My question is, how many of the things she wants to do are open to 14-year-olds? We will (obviously) not visit the Solarium with her, but she is dying to attend the sushi class and play trivia games. She's an ice skater, so I'm hoping she will at least join the teens when they get exclusive access to the rink. We are both training for a half marathon in May, so it would be great if she could use the treadmills in the gym with me if it's too hot to run out on deck.

Any personal anecdotes you can share so we can be prepared for situations where she might have to sit out due to her age?

Also any tips for teens and tweens in general? I'd love to hear them.
