I had never kayaked before.

We just got back from Antarctica in December. Before boarding I was not about to spend that kind of money to kayak! The price was ridiculous! Well, Antarctica was so incredibly beautiful. After one zodiac trip I was so enchanted that I quickly changed my mind! Kayaking was so peaceful and serene. Imagine the thrill of seeing a whale surface and blow about a football field length away!!! You know how those commercial talk about "priceless". Kayaking was truly priceless!

Has anyone been on a Seabourn cruise to Antarctica? How do they handle people throwing cigarette butts into the water or crushing them in the rocks on shore? I just read a blog where another cruise line stopped their ship, lowered a tender and retrieved the offensive polluting butt!

There have already been enough changes to make us take our cruise dollars elsewhere. That's very sad for me as I love the "old" Regent. For the price I can't afford to give it any more chances.

So sorry this cruise wasn't the best. You still made your blog enjoyable! Whenever we get ready to select a cruise I go first to your blog and see what you have to say! I first took note of you when you talked about buying shoes in India back in 2012. Then in 2014 I inquired about shoe shopping in Hong Kong. I never intended to make this a habit but now I must ask for info on those delicious red shoes I see in your pics of this cruise!

Hope we get to meet on the high seas some day!

We just got off Voyager last week. We even got brochures in our suite! Half the Passages were full of advertising future cruises. I bought the cruise, paid my money, now let the experience I'm having sell me on another Regent cruise!

You will really enjoy your cruise. This is our third Regent cruise and we come back for the wonderful service. But the big draw is the wonderful friends we've made and still keep in touch with. I made my comment out of frustration over listening to people snipe at each other on here. I am not new to CC and it just gets to me at times. Someone mentioned CC at lunch today and the whole table started laughing. Obviously all this is not taken too seriously. Glad I could add a little bit to heighten your excitement about your cruise. The anticipation is half the fun! Enjoy every minute of it.

We are on the Voyager right now and I am pleased to report I have not met one nasty, nitpicking, rude bully. I was quite concerned after reading CC. You people go after each other witn no holds barred. My mother would be so disappointed to learn the term "luxury" no longer includes civility and class.

We are cruising on the Voyager in February. After reading this thread we emailed Regent asking them to confirm that we attained Silver prior to Sept 30,2014 so therefore get free unlimited wifi. They promptly emailed us confirming we will receive free unlimited wifi. We have hard copied this and put it in our cruise documents. Hopefully we won't need it but we have written confirmation just in case.

Gilly, I can't wait to read your blog about this cruise. I feel like we are old friends. A couple years ago I read your blog about your visit to India before going on that cruise. I'm sure I'll get some good tips on buying shoes in China.

I posted this on our roll call but decided I'd get more answers here. Has anyone been on Regent on Valentine's Day? Do they do anything special?
