Thanks for this picture. We both did a B2B on Allure and I can see us both on the helipad ;) This was the second week. The first week sail away party was at Labadee.

Given the late departure, does that delay your arrival at St Thomas? Since Allure is getting by on only 2 Azipods I don't think there is much ability to increase speed.

 

BTW if you don't have time to stop at Nassau to pick-up the life boat, don't worry I'll get it in 2 weeks. ;)

We just pulled into St Thomas where we where suppose to be at 1100. Due to the incident in Nassau and some very strong head winds we are 3 hours late.

Every stateroom is given a amount of OBC (2 of us in a L2 got $500, friends in a D1 got $250).

We will leave at our regular time today (630 pm).

Captain Johnny said we have a 25% over capacity so nothing is lost with 1 lifeboat left behind. I'm more interested if we really will pick it up on the way back from Sint Maarten or next eastern caribbean sailing in 2 weeks.

We are just leaving Nassau 2+ hours late because of an issue with the lift cable of lifeboat number 1. At the biweekly test it appeard to snapped.

We are, after talking to HQ, the shipyard and Bahamas authorities leaving lifeboat 1 in Nassau and will be picking it up again on the way back after they repaired the cable.

Let's make it a point to do so. We will be on the Oasis TA after her drydock next year, so we will be going to Amsterdam and Rotterdam. We haven't been there before. Cabin 6594. Starboard, forward, hump.

B2B Allure December 1st and December 8th ... time to start packing :p

Good to see RCCL takes action and only one cruise will be cancelled. Too bad for those booked on it.

Just make sure you have roaming turned off and you won't be connected to the internet (3G) if you are not on your home network.

Settings -> General -> Network and slide the Roaming slider to off.

iMessages will be send as SMS because there is not data connection.
