  1. We have been on the Breeze twice and really like it. We are looking at a cruise for fall of '15 and trying to decide between the two, same itinerary and the cost is about the same. Since we have been on the Breeze twice and enjoyed, is it worth trying the Sunshine?

  2. Anyone have the current 8 day menu for the Breeze? I know I have seen previous menus on here, like to know in advance so we can schedule the Italian restaurant or Steakhouse in advance on nights that the main dining room doesn't appeal to us.

  3. We are considering the cheers program for our upcoming cruise. Question is can it be used at every bar in the ship, Red Frog Pub, Blue Iguana, etc. We have been on Carnival a few times now but can't remember if I ever saw a wristband for the Cheers program or is there another method of identification. Also I believe it includes soda but the soda doesn't count against your drinks for the day, not that either of us are likely to drink 15 drinks in a day but could come close.

  4. We are in port in Curacao at the end of October until 11 PM. Figuring it will be dark relatively early and we will be back from our excursion before dark, is there anything to do around the port area after dark and is the area safe?

  5. We have done all inclusive resorts and cruises, they both work out to about the same price in the end, if you drink some. Best part of cruising is you are not stuck in the same place for a week, we were in Cancun for a week in January earlier this year and it rained everyday, 4 days that basically we were stuck inside the resort and the other days it rained some. On a cruise you hopefully escape the rain if you have it, plus you get to see many places in a week. Service was equally as good on the cruise as the all inclusive, we stay at a higher end, not top end all inclusive and I will give them a higher grade on the food. Entertainment about the same. I believe both are good values but still prefer cruising.

  6. We were on the Breeze last year and can't remember the hours of the Red Frog Pub, having trouble getting a cocktail party together for our cruise this October and thinking about getting together there instead. Anyone remember what the hours of the Pub are on sea days?

  7. Although not on Allure, we have stayed in an inside cabin on RC ships. For just 2 people, it was just the right size. The bathroom is small, but does not have the awful shower curtain like on Carnival. If you're not planning on spending lots of time in the room, it's no big deal.

About 60 days (give or take), you will be able to pre-book shows online. This is a must for Allure! The times will be listed, so you can choose the show that best fits with your dinner plans. If you have late dining, your show times will most likely be around 7pm before dinner. We usually dress for dinner prior to the show and plan to go straight to the MDR after the show. The shows were timed perfectly for this. If you are making any specialty restaurant reservations, you can also book those ahead of time, using the show times as a guide.

What time is late dining on RC ships, on Carnival it is 8:15 and the late show was around 10 I believe so that you could go from dinner to the show. Usually one night if you wanted to see the show you needed to go before dinner as the schedule was difference.

  8. Thanks for all the responses, couple of questions from what I have read here, you have to reserve a time to see the shows? We are late dining people, we like that nap to get reenergized for the evening and will this interfere with seeing the shows? Another question, do they have a sign and sail card like Carnival? We chose an inside cabin for two reasons, one the difference of the price between RCCL and Carnival and two, we did a balcony on the Breeze the last cruise and used it very little, we like to be around people not alone in our room or on our balcony, this said, I see somebody mentioned the rooms are smaller than Carnival, our first cruise we did an interior and it was just about small enough to make you claustrophobic, can't picture these are any smaller. We met a couple on one cruise that had been on 32 cruises and said they never do anything but interiors anymore, they would rather spend their money elsewhere on the cruise.

  9. We were on the Breeze in October and had our first balcony, we chose the "large" balcony toward the back of the ship next to the aft wrap. We found that we used it very little and spending the extra money to have a balcony was not worth it. On sea days we had breakfast delivered to our room and ate on the balcony, besides that we spend little time in our cabin, we would rather be up on deck with people and see what is going on. If we do return to our cabin its usually to take a nap before dinner and find the bed more comfortable than sleeping in a chair, our balcony did have a lounge chair on it but again not as comfortable. Many people said, once you have a balcony you will never want anything else. Wonder how many others feel the same way?

  10. I rarely drink water at home, we are on a well, and well, I have no idea what may be in it. The water on the ship taste fine and as others have said it is probably better than some of the bottled water. We do buy a water from the ship on the way out on excursions. The price isn't the best but it beats lugging a case of water on board.

  11. It's funny how some people love the BBQ and others not so much. It just goes to show you that no matter what is offered on a cruise (food, entertainment, decor, etc) some will always love it and others will hate it. :)

We are not hard to please when it comes to food, maybe that type of BBQ is popular in other parts of the country, definitely nothing we had ever had before. We noticed a lot of the pulled pork being left behind on tables, and that was what we thought wasn't good a all. The other sides and other food their were not anything special but very edible.

  12. We were just on the Breeze also, you said you missed the BBQ, believe me you didn't miss anything there. We were not impressed at all with it, if fact we are going on the Breeze again next year and will not go anywhere near it. Outside of that we enjoyed the ship a lot and can't wait to get back on the Breeze again next year to get to do some of the things we couldn't fit in this time!

  13. We had a great meet and greet cocktail party on the Breeze Oct '13, we filled up the Liquid nightclub with 132 people signed up for the party, a few didn't show up for whatever reason but the person running the party had to turn people away the last few weeks before the cruise. For $16.68 per person for 1 1/2 hour we definitely got our moneys worth.
