  1. Sorry is these have been asked and answered. I was unable to find the answers.

    1. Can you book Chefs table before you get onboard thru the Medallion App? If not, how do you book?

    2. Is Chefs Table done each evening?

    3. We will be on Discovery Princess. If you couldn't get the Chef's table, and you are a party of 5, where would your second choice be?

    Thank You!!!

  2. You also get $25 casino credit. Just walk up to the cashier and ask for your Platinum credit and give them your stateroom card. They will ask if you want slot play or table? I always choose slot play, and my card it credited. It used to be that you would get a free entry to a slot tournament, but since the shutdown, they do this now. Have fun!

  3. Happened to me with a credit card during the shutdown. They were supposed to refund a cruise with in 90 days. I waited the allotted time then remembered that the card had expired and I had a new one. There was no refund on the card, even though the number was the same. Called Carnival and spoke to a very nice lady who moved me over to someone called a "resolution specialist" I think. She took a report and forwarded it to their finance department. I think it took about 2 weeks for the money to show on my account.

What are you asking? Cunard and Princess all dock at the same place. What do you need to walk to?

According too the Port Authority, Cunard will be ported at the North Berth and Princess will be ported at the East birth. My question is, how far is the walk, approx. and will we need to pass through any gates with documents if we are already in the port?

  5. Hi All,

Does anyone know how to change your expired Passport picture for the new one on Medallion App? Called Princess and they only know how to change the Profile picture, not the Passport Picture. I was transferred to a few people who just kept passing me around. I finally hung up and came here. I figure you guys probably use Medallion app more then they do and have more real information.

    Thanks in advance!

  6. Hi All,

This is not a hater post. Any day on board a ship is a better day then on land. That being said, the 50th Birthday celebration on the Radiance was underwhelming. From the fact that they had not one thing on board to buy with the 50th birthday logo to only one 45 minute "Sailabration" activity, we thought the whole thing was lackluster. The poor crew was doing their best to pretend the whole 50th birthday wasn't happening. I think that so many people were upset by the complete lack of anything onboard to do with the birthday, they were overwhelmed with complaints. Not one Balloon, no shows with a birthday theme, no birthday music, no birthday games. We tried to order one of the "Birthday Martini's" in the dining room and were told there was no such thing. We were told by other passengers that the east coast cruises got things like birthday pins, but that the west coast shipment did not arrive. I don't know how true that is, but it would explain some things.

There was a birthday cake served on formal night, a sticker on our towel animal on formal night and buns with the 50th birthday logo at Guys and Big Chicken. That was it. So if you missed it, you didn't miss much.

This cruise would have been great, if I hadn't been expecting a birthday party, so no harm done.

Keep cruising, and hopefully, I see you out there.

  7. Hi All,

DH and I are on Panorama B2B Saturday. We were not able to get the same cabin the second week. I will ask guest services when I get on board if there is any way there may have been a cancellation of the cabin for the second week, but if not, will we get any help moving luggage to the other cabin, or will we be on our own?

    Thanks in advance!

  8. My family was supposed to be on a NYE cruise on the Panorama, but we all got Covid. The process was super simple. I went on to the Carnival website. I filled out the Health questionnaire that you are required to fill out before you embark. It will ask you if you have had a positive test in the last (some period of time, can't remember) it will ask if you have symptoms. Fill it out, hit submit and it will say "STOP- DO NOT PROCEED TO PORT, then it will give you a telephone number to call and it tells you, you will get your money back. You call the number and tell the person that answers the phone that the website told you to call them and not to proceed to port. That person will process a refund and tell you that it can take up to 90 days to get your credit card refunded. We were given a refund, not a Future Cruise Credit. They did not require a copy of my Covid test. That could have been because it was during the time you could cancel for a refund, but regardless, that is the process.

  9. I agree with you 100% We love Guys, Blue Iguana and the pizza and other small food venues around the ship. The MDR and Buffet are not as good in our opinion. We have the biggest issue with the bread products overall. Just not a fan. That being said, there is always plenty to eat, and I can always find an enjoyable meal.

  10. It really isn't a problem ordering more then one entree if you would like it. It has been my experience with the wait staff on Carnival that all of them make an effort to make you happy. I think that the last time I was on the Panorama, in November, the sides were mostly vegetables and cubed, roast potatoes. If you want extra of the sides, just let them know. Enjoy your cruise.

  11. We just get off the ship and walk to the beach ( 5min. walk). It is a little tricky. Walk Past the Buccaneer bar and vendors to the apartment building (?) next to the port. Go in the gate and walk towards the ocean. Once on the beach, there are  a bunch of hotels and people selling things. Many swimmers. You can walk around by the port.

  12. In October we went on the Miracl. I got one of the symptoms (Not Coughing) the night before the cruise. So when I woke up I went on the app to change my health status and cancel the cruise. The app would not allow me to change the health questionnaire and said something about it being handled at the dock. My husband and I reported to the dock, hoping we could at least get a credit for the cruise and sail another time.

We got to check in (With our luggage, as we were sure we were driving home) and before we could say anything, the lady asked us to read the sign. The sign said "If you have two of these symptoms, please report it to the agent" I asked her specifically, " What about if I have one of the symptoms?" She said No, it needs to be two. We were kind of shocked, but I think that is just the first line of defense. When we were on Princess they flagged us for traveling to Mexico the week before. On that one they asked us to talk to the doctor, who is located at a check in window. The doctor just looked at our Negative PCR test and said fine, go ahead.

I am honestly shocked to hear about the person who had to cancel, just based on my experiences. I agree, the questions should really be worded better and it would be nice if we all knew what the actual "rules" were.

  13. Yes.. please bring it. I traveled in October and my passport was still in the process of renewing. I went on 4 cruises, 3 of them with Carnival. All of them required it, along with my birth certificate and drivers license, both getting on the ship, and at customs coming back to Los Angeles. I think there was only one time that I thought they didn't really care and that was with Princess. That being said, the customs agent asked for it getting off that cruise.

  14. We have done both recently. Carnival dining room food is not as good, although we enjoyed their "fast food" options like Blue Iguana and Guy's burgers better then the pool side options of Princess .I think Princess does better pizza though. I enjoyed the entertainment better on Carnival, which was a surprise. Carnival is super casual. They were both very clean, and the staff on both were very good. The lines seemed shorter on Princess, but that being said, Carnival was not awful on lines, probably because they are not at 100% capacity. There are plenty of fun options on both of them. Lot's of Trivia Games on Carnival. We loved the Seaday brunch on Carnival. The adult area is nice too for relaxing.

  15. We traveled to Mexico in October then went on a Mexican Cruise (Carnival Panorama) within a few days of each other. They did ask us at check in if we had traveled outside the US and we said we did. They asked where to?  We said Mexico and they said that was fine. They were more interested that we had our 4 things: Boarding Pass, Passport, Negative PCR test and Vaccination card.

  16. I have to agree with my fellow cruisers. A rapid test done at home would be ideal. I have one currently scheduled at CVS 2 days prior to cruising. The best tip I can give you, is no matter what you chose, make sure you schedule something. It is super easy and it should ensure that you are able to get the test. Most places accept reservations for the test 2 weeks before the test is done. All of the appointments are made online. Good Luck.
