I would like to know that as well. They're great!!
-
I would bring it in at the first port. Cheaper and you should be able to get any kind.

Sorry guys, another question. Corkscrews for my 750ml bottle of wine, are they allowed? What about butane lighters? For cigars. I can't find nothing on these items in the FAQ's, thanks.
I would hide them. The corkscrew I would wrap in foil and I would think you would be allowed to bring that on in your pocket. Many people smoke and have to have something.

Yes I have emailed the Maitre D to make requests but be sure you double check that it is done. They have misinterpreted my requests before. Just go down to the dining room and double check. have a great cruise
-
We have gone through our PVP for years and really like dealing with him. We call when we have changes to make or requests and he keeps on top of them for us.
-
I did that one time and the clothes came back like I had slept in them. I would rather do my own and take them out of the dryer and hang them up.
-
I hope they never do. I think it would degrade the experience plus who has an outfit that will go with a wristband?

Ok, I get that dressing up on a vacation is a real PIA sometimes, but why on earth would you want to miss out on the BEST meals on the cruise in the MDR??
And on top of that, pay extra for the Steakhouse while you are missing out on FREE Fillet and Lobster in the MDR???
Take an extra outfit, (or wear the same one again - wink nod) go to the MDR on formal nights, and THEN when they are serving stroganoff, you go to the Steakhouse.
Will be on the Pride 1/4 - and will not be missing out on my FREE LOBSTER!
That sure make a lot of sense!!! I am on the Pride 1/4 as well. A group of us are meeting in serenity around 5 pm on the first day. Join us if you can.

I also take my own corkscrew. :)

I bring my pillow where ever I go. I don't want to risk waking up with a headache.

Without a doubt LIDO. Best place on the ship to have a room. Way closer to everything than Empress.
-
We always book Lido balcony cabins closest to the pool area as we can get and never had an issue. We sail usually on Conquest class ships and we have our own hallway with a door that keeps it pretty quiet. If you look right or left once your at the big glass doors leading to the lido you will see another door ,if you open that this is where we stay.Perfect spot
We had one of those on the Dream. Best spot on the ship, close to everything and you don't waste time WALKING though hallway after hallway to get to your room. Booked another on the Valor.

Question about muster drill on carnival ships? do you need to take a life vest from your room with you ?I know on RCL, we went to our room to get the vest and carried them around with us...
Nope not anymore. They have them to be handed out if you need to get on the lifeboat

Im definately trust you all that Roatan beautiful so we will do a scenic drive tour of the island and looking very much forward to this....any ideas where else to eat lunch or sit somewhere having a cocktail listening to the island music?
The first time we went to Roatan we docked at the old port. Streets were dirt/mud, children trying to sell us items for $1, but we found a "bar" of all things right there and stopped in to have the best pina colada we have ever had. The seats at the bar tables were old office chairs. It was right on the shore and we sat there and watch naked kids jumping off the dock into the water. Classic Carribean.

I've read several comments about a "ship on a stick"....what exactly is this?
That is a "prize" you can get on Carnival when you win certain contests. More of a joke really. And it really is a ship on a stick:D

there must be more than one place to see the monkeys, where we stopped on our tour we were able to get very up close and personal with them. I think it was Victor Bodden's monkey business.
Barry
Not sure but I think he owes those monkeys

It was really nice. I would go back there in a minute. They let you off in a small shopping area. You can walk over to a small path and into the beach area. Nice chairs, some shade if you want it. Beautiful sandy beach and even a shipwreck. All courtesy of Carnival. They even have a place for food and drinks but I don't think you can use your sign and sail card

I finally registered after reading all I could on this board. What a gold mine this place is!!
Next summer (May/June) Hubby and I along with another couple WILL be on a cruise. We want to do a 5 day cruise of the Eastern Caribbean. We will be meeting with a TA in the next week or so. Here are some of my concerns/questions:
We would like to stay in one cabin, with a balcony. If there is a couch that pulls out to a full size bed, we're good with that. What are y'all's experience with this?
Hubby is concerned about his bar bill...he is a beer drinker. What are the best ways to deal with this? I think some cruises offer a $$ a day for all the beer you can drink. How has that worked for y'all? As for me...I'll have rum runners filled with Capt. Morgan.
Shopping...I admit it...this is one of the things I'm most looking forward to. I know it depends on what ports we hit, but what ports offer the best shopping? How far is the shopping from the ports?
Excersions....which ones do you recommend?

I agree four adults in one room is asking for trouble. You will end up hating each other. My husband and I do use the bars and our bill is normally aroung $600.00 for the cruise for two.

Nice Review. Just a note to anyone going to Grand Turk. Just a short walk down the beach is a bar called Jack's Shack. You sit out on a small deck under an umbrella. The drinks are way cheaper and way better than margaritaville. They also sell food. Mainly Jerk chicken. AND if you go on their website you can print off a coupon for a free shot of rum. You can't beat it if you are looking for something close and away from the "glitz" and crowds of margaritaville.

That's one of our favorite parts of the cruise. Wouldn't miss it.
