We did the Taste of Royal on Navigator. We were greeted with an included delicious Aperol Spritz. We tried the tuna tartare but..... 😏 We hadn't known you could let them know you couldn't have or didn't want that-the table next to us had a yummy substitution although right now I can't remember what it was...so yes just make your request a day or 2 ahead of your reservation.

Hi! We have a cabin on deck 11 booked on Jewel-looking at the deck plans I can't see how we access the cabins unless we go through/around Vitality Spa-is that correct?
Thank you!

I'm a huge huge huge fan of Mexican Food, Americanized Mexican Food. But, I only started eating Mexican Food in 1980 when I got stationed at Ft. Hood, TX., we used to go to a great Mexican Restaurant in Temple, TX., The Monterrey House. I've traveled and lived all around the Southwest. Including New Mexico. That's the back story.
On my first cruise on a Royal ship was Oasis of the Seas in circa 2017. On the menu was "Fish Tacos. Never heard of a "Fish Taco" before that. Have I lived a sheltered Mexican Food life and they have always existed in the U.S. Mexican Food Restaurant Market or is/was it an RCCL innovation? Our local two or three Mexican Restaurants don't have 'em. I haven't seen a "Fish Taco" in any Americanized Mexican Restaurant off of a RCCL ship. Which is a good thing. I don't think I'd like a "Fish Taco" unless it is a "Fish N Chips" type of fish.
This is an important subject so please take it seriously.
I'm a southern California girl. We have access to every variation of fish taco, at most, if not all, of our plethora of Mexican restaurants. You can even get some delicious fish tacos at chains such as Rubios. It is also easy enough to make your own. That said, you will not find great Mexican food on cruise ships...but that's just my opinion. But, many people do love it- I put that down to not having the access that we do here. And that's a good thing. Bon appetit! 🌮🍺

We, too, had a sunset veranda booked and paid in full for the April 2nd sailing on Eclipse. We were notified by our travel company, given the choice of full refund or lift and shift. We, of course, chose full refund, and were notified it may take 90 days to be processed.

Yikes! Finger crossed because I have booked it for our February 6 Royal cruise-and we're are excitedly anticipating the experience!

Peggy’s Cove is very pretty and oh so quaint. It is a delightful drive through small fishing villages. We loved it enough to go again in October, this time we are renting a car and doing it on our own. We also enjoyed the cemetery, hauntingly sad.

Oops, also, the wine train is fun (and delicious) BUT -at least when we did it-you don’t actually stop at any wineries-you just view some-and not the best or prettiest from the train.

Aww you will LOVE a Pacific Coastal!! I do, and I am from here and been to all the places many times. San Francisco is a fabulous city, and sailing under the Golden Gate bridge is awesome! There is plenty to see and do in the city that is walkable-Fisherman’s Wharf area, the Ferry building-there is BART (Bay area transit) to venture farther out, cable car up by Ghiradelli Square for a more local view.
Not sure where your cruise goes but Santa Barbara, Monterey, Astoria, Seattle, Victoria, Vancouver are all beautiful, amazing and should not be affected by fires.

Unfortunately, the designer of the outside of the Opera House wasn't allowed to do the inside. There was a change of government while it was being built and the politicians that thought the whole thing was a waste of money threw him off the project. So the interiors ended up being done on the cheap.
Ah, thank you-very interesting, and so sad....now I must google and read more about it!

Hotel Jakarta is a very nice hotel a short walk across the bridge from the cruise ship. Great breakfast, and definitely has an elevator. The price varies according to date.
