  1. Not going to write much now as I am tired from a long day and need to get ready for dinner. Fantastic day in Antigua. Beautiful town well worth seeing. We did the on you own tour and hired a guide for $10 each.

Pleased that you had another another good day and thank you for the photos. They really give a feel for the place. Were you in a group with your guide or just the 2 of you?

  2. Glad to see the weather is good. We are on the next cruise from San Diego and coming from a cold UK. Hope to have some good, sunny weather for the cruise. Thanks for the review, picking up a few pointers. Will have to take something white for the 'white night'.

Pleased to read that we will not be the only ones flying in from the UK for the Legend's next cruise. Have you joined the Roll Call?

  3. Bill, wondering if yesterday's 'wet, grey morning' improved as the day went on. Were you able to get on deck later?

I'm interested in the comments on MTD. Although this is our first time on RCI we have always chosen the equivalent on our other cruises. We prefer to sit in a different area each night and enjoy being able to meet and chat to a variety of waiters. For us, each meal is a completely different experience and adds to the interest.

  4. They have been doing two shows a night. 7:30 and 9:00 pm

We usually like to dine about 8. It looks as though we might have to change or miss the show. How long do they usually last? Perhaps we could go to the first performance and go for MTD after.

Really enjoying all the details and photos. Looking forward to going through the canal with you today. Our turn next.

  5. Really looking forward to following your journey as an introduction to our 27th November Panama cruise on the Legend. I know that others have asked specific questions, but what is mainly on my mind as I prepare to pack is what to take and what to leave behind. Living in the north of England I am not used to hot climates. As your cruise progresses, if you have time, I would appreciate tips on the essentials for this type of cruise and also anything that you realise you didn't need. We leave on the 23rd so I need to stop dithering and start deciding.

Wishing you both a wonderful holiday.

  6. Thank you FionaMG. Our itinerary says Fort Lauderdale Airport so I hope it's that one, although we haven't got our tickets yet. We would have liked to do an excursion before leaving but our flight is 13.59 so it doesn't allow time. Our flight isn't direct. We change at Philadelphia. It's going to be a long journey but we can spend it thinking about our cruise.

  7. When we disembark at Fort Lauderdale, will it be easy to get a taxi to the airport? Are the public taxis allowed inside the terminal? What will be the approximate cost?

Apologies if the question has already been asked. I have been reading through but it is such a busy thread I might have missed it. Any advice appreciated.. This is our first US cruise and unfortunately we will not have time to explore the area, but will need to go straight to the airport for our return flight to the UK.
