I am transferring from CelebrIty to Princess on a Saturday in May. I wrote to the Port Everglades Port authority to get some further guidance. They recommend taking a taxi. There is a flat inter-terminal fee of $8.00. It was recommended to advise the driver you are aware of the maximum $8.00 fee when you get into the car.

I am looking for a recent picture of an EZ Check form for Ft. Lauderdale. Bonus points if it is from Enchanted.
I have checked posts back to January 1, but the 2 posts that have pictures seem to show old pictures.

Currently on the a back-to-back cruise. The food has been pretty good in the MDR but I can see that week 2 could be a little Ho Hum with a repeat menu. Any suggestions for items on an unpublished menu? My table neighbour had a Caesar Salad with anchovy tonight - not listed on the menu.

We’ve done many crossings. There is always something to do or, not do. We have had: ship building contests, full contact trivia, many lecturers, many cooking demos, ships tours of various kinds, crew skills tests. It goes on and on.
SS cruise directors have been, by and large, excellent. They are even willing to organize events you suggest.

i cannot comment on the Prosecco other than to say something is always available.
On the Champagne, for the last 10 years SS has had 2 that they pour. First is Heidsieck Monopol Blue label . The second is Pommery.
As usual others are available for purchase.

On our recent cruise from Tokyo to Vancouver the food was great. We only had one misfire with one beef dish. Dining room manager said they wouldn't have recommended it. Uhm.. yeah.
The only comment I would have is that the menu did not change much. One dish now or then, but that is it. In La Terrazza there were no changes to the menu.

Your butler can also be a good source for restaurant bookings.

My personal concern with travelling on the shadow is ther service. When we sailed her last year and the year before we were disappointed by many things.

I would consider bringoing some detergent packages form home. The detergent provided might not be the quaility that you would use at home.
We'll be sailing on the Shadow next week, and as I pack, I have some questions about laundry. I know that we can do our own on the Shadow. Questions: what does it cost? Does the machine take cards or do I need to bring change? What's the best time to do your laundry? We're first time cruisers, so please forgive these mundane questions. -

Just from coming back from a Med cruise last month, my best drink tips would have to be:1. Happy Hour - GREAT Bargain IF You Can Find a Seat (Here's How)! There are two happy hours daily, one in the late afternoon in the Wheelhouse, and one at the Skywalkers Club at 10pm (awfully loud). On a 14-day cruise I made it to a half dozen, five of which were in the earlier Wheelhouse bar. There at the Wheelhouse (only) IF you want to enjoy your beverage seated, get there NO LATER THAN 5-10 minutes after it starts (but no need to come more than 10 minutes early). Every time I went, 10 minutes after it officially started (3:30, 4 or 4:30), those who wandered were unable to find seats. Mostly then, after wandering around forlornly, they ultimately departed the bar empty (drink-)handed. I saw this every time I attended. But like I said, you don't have to come extra early, this regrettable state of affairs is easily avoided if you're simply reasonably prompt.
2. Bring the Recipe. If you have a favorite cocktail that has more than, say, two ingredients, bring the recipe. I like Old Fashions (whiskey, soda, bitters, orange slice, muddled cherry, sugar) and they very often forgot one ingredient. Swear! Happily I knew precisely what was in the drink to help them during the send-backs, but if you just can't put your finger on that missing ingredient and have it written down somewhere handy, you're golden! Easy-peasy.
3. Be Courteous (Actually, Bring it to the Next Level). I realize this is common sense anyway, but I'm mentioning it particularly re your interfacings with the bar staff. Every time I said "THANK you," or "I REALLY appreciate it," etc. with some emphasis and added a nice and genuine smile, good things continually happened such as extra fast and prompt service, the imparting of some inside ship tips, extra extra and even more extra raffle tickets, some mutual come-hither looks (I remember what these were because I was a young man once), free ("Oh, we had an extra...") drinks; just a whole boatload of good vibes and juju! Hell, sometimes I didn't even NEED the drink (but I know, that's crazy talk)!
4. Refrain from Paying High Prices or Obtaining an AIBP. If you'd like to regularly enjoy a before-dinner or sea-day cocktail or two in your cabin inexpensively, er, from my understanding, a rum-runner or cocktail caddy-like plastic bladder containing whiskey, rum, or your favorite spirit, makes an extremely wise addition to your luggage ifyouknowwhatimean.

Thank you all. Looking for money saving hints and tips beyond drinks packages. Of course not drinking to excess etc. are my personal minimum standards, always good to repeat for other travelers though.

I see differing threads with somewhat helpful info on them regarding beverages on Princess. I am trying to pull together (for a good friend) your best hints/tips for drinking on Princess. Both alcoholic and non-alcoholic. Many thanks in advance. :)

I would bring your own detergent. The provided one is pretty harsh on materials. Dryer sheets are not provided.

I heard a report today that Havila Pollux has mechanical issues and has cancelled some sailings into May. Any truth to this?
