  1. We've been to many cenotes there while land-based vacays so I am aware of the temp of water.. also a Floridian so we have 72 degree Springs we are in all the time. Do they force you to wear the wetsuits they provide? (People pee-pee in wetsuits) Can you bring your own if so?

Oh, my gosh! Peat Taylor and Sons Tours made our Jamaica excursion amazing! Peat was our guide and we could not have had a better experience. Peat took us to the real Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls (an excursion that was not available through the ship), he was dependable and knowledgeable. He gave us enough of the culture to truly experience Jamaica without the stress of navigating it ourselves. He was invested in the community and took us to a couple of local spots. Will definitely book through him again in the future and would highly recommend him to anyone looking to book in Jamaica.

What do you mean the "real" Blue Hole? i am scheduled with another tour guy for the Blue Hole he's highly recommended but I want the most of the blue hole.. we are Spring lovers!

  3. We are using Jerry's Adventures for a waterfall excursion in October. We are understanding that we will not get the full day because of the 1pm arrival but he is all so gracious to still take us to frolic in a waterfall. He had other tours and seems to be okay with a tour starting so late in the day. You may want to check him out. I spoke on the phone and he had perfect English to.

  4. Hi, We just returned form Vision on the 29th of November sailing.

The food in the Windjammer was very bad, we normally do not dine in the dining room but did this cruise. Thankfully I had taken dressier clothes. We had to do Windjammer on the formal nights and it was like poor nursing home food.

Even in the dining room the desserts were mousse types no solid cheesecake or cakes.

Smoke smell was avoidable, although we had some people in our hallway that should be charged the smoking in room fee. The casino was the worst although we normally avoid it anyway.

The ship is showing wear badly. Missing tiles in solarium pool. Rust in many areas.

The Love and Marriage show was bad because of the contestants that were picked. One very crude gentleman (I say that very lightly). The cruise director has a dry sense of humor. We found Marvin asst cruise director to be friendly and energetic. No problems with him. Quest was a blast although the teams are too big and only 4 contestants (team leaders, runners) get medals.

Our room attendant was nothing special, but did her job. Towel animals every other day. That's about average. Always fresh towels and bed made :)

The worst part was the food. We have been on Brilliance, Enchantment, and Legend, all multiple times and the food was excellent.

We loved the ports and our excursions. We have been to all the ports before, but had extremly great days at port on this cruise.

If the food had been better, we would singing praises. We did not complain. It was a week of peace and I will be cooking some good dinner tonight :)

  5. We were just on out 5th cruise with Royal and I had never tried the Honey-stung chicken. After trying I could not understand the hype, checked and it is a Tyson frozen chicken product. Yuck!

We loved the Roast beef sandwhiches at Park cafe. See to each his own, that's what makes the world go 'round. :)
