  1. I personally would rather eat alone than with others… but I know that’s not for everyone! I usually have to visit the restaurant at the beginning of my cruises to change to a solo table - the thought of small talk with strangers at every dinner is the exact opposite of why I travel solo!

  2. I was on the Armonia last year as a single, and wasn't given the option of a solo cabin when booking - I just booked an inside room to cut down on the costs.  MSC seems to be one of the better cruise lines as far as not charging a full double fare for single occupancy (I've sailed on four different cruiselines, most have charged double, some as little as about 1.5 times for single occupancy).

Really frustrated with Royal Caribbean Site right now. I log in, then click the "Plan my Cruse" button to take me to the planner and it redirects me back to the login page. This happens pretty frequently. Anybody have any tips for resolving this so I can get to the Black Friday sales?

I had to go into the website through Firefox as Chrome was giving me the unending loop of logins...

It's getting a little frustrating now. My internet package has disappeared as well as the excursion. I have not been contacted or refunded anything. I have emailed (with no reply) I have called my travel agent who said they would call be back  (with no call back as of yet) and I have called MSC direct and was asked to email again which i did this morning, no reply yet 😞

Sadly it doesn't seem like communication is one of the services MSC provides... I've sent emails directly to them, as well as filled out the information request forms online, and have never heard a peep for a reply... and I'm not one to spend hours on hold with them either.  Fingers crossed I get to the boat in May and I'm allowed on! 😉

  5. I just logged in today and saw that on my May 13 cruise, that the stop had been switched - and kind of weirdly got an email about the change within about 10 minutes of me just randomly logging on to see when my last payment was due.  It'll make it easier to see the Blue Hole and Dunn's River Falls!

  6. So glad to see this company recommended.  I've done "free" walking tours in cities around the world, and find I get so much more out of them than the bigger tours (especially those offered by cruise ships!).  I've booked both the Cuban Revolution tour and Historical Centre tour for my cruise in May!

  7. Hello. Forgive me if I've missed the answer to this in the 53 pages of information on the area... my brain is slowly filling with information about my upcoming cruise!

I've rented a car online through Budget, which I understand is located in the 7-11 store not far from the dock.

My question is... I've gotten a quote for less than $40 USD for a day rental (I plan on driving to the Troll Road)... and that seems awfully cheap for Norway! It is just a small Hyundai... but it is just me, so I don't need tonnes of room!

Has anyone rented a car in Alesund that would mind telling me what they paid, or if the price I've been quoted is really true??

    Thanks,

    Carmen

  8. Just went and cancelled my excursion online so that I could re-book with the promo code, and it keeps telling me that the excursion is already purchased - even though it no longer shows up on my travel documents or anywhere online in my account. I've sent e-mails to Carnival to get them to fix it so I can re-book... hopefully they do it soon so I can use the promo codes!
