Enjoying for the vlogs. How far did you jog/run in Cork?
Will be sailing on BOS on Oct 11 out of Boston. Can you see if Willie will be in the DL or CL then?
I'm guessing around 6km for the run. It was more of a run, walk, walk, talk, run... :) They also do walking tours too.

Thanks for the Vlog, it's been good!
As your vlogs focus on the city you're in, any comments on Brilliance in general? How have your experiences on the ship been? Or maybe you'll cover this in your sea day vlog at the end!
I will focus more on this during the sea day vlogs. This was our second cruise on Brilliance. We enjoy the ship. Although this experience was much different than our previous sailing on her. Will elaborate further in the vlogs. Thanks for watching :)

I've had a busy morning of uploading in Reykjavik:
Day 3 (Portland, UK):
Day 4 (Cork, Ireland):
Day 6 (Klaksvik, Faroe Islands):
I'll combine some of the sea days together at the end. Since they're not always as exciting. Enjoy!

Currently in the Faroe Islands, found excellent free wifi at the Nordic House where we stopped for lunch.
So I'm happy that Day 2 vlog is now uploaded!
Thanks for watching. :)

We were on the BOS-TPA repo last October and they were working on rewiring the ship for high speed internet. How is the internet? We paid about $240US for two connections and were very disappointed. I use it for mail so I had less problems however my wife struggled with Facebook and trying to download books. Towards the end of the cruise she couldn't log on.
I'm not impressed with internet so far. We only did the 24hr pass ($40 USD) to try it out. I couldn't upload, that's for sure. It's fine for checking email and such. But that's still at a slow pace.

Still awaiting rescue... only about 10 of us left. We weren't too rushed to leave though... as I've been able to work on uploads and hubby relaxed in the shade reading a book. Weather is up to 18 degrees C. Not bad :)
First vlog is now live!

Have a wonderful cruise. We took this TA last fall. It is one of our favorite cruises. I look forward to following along and reliving our cruise. :)
I did a couple of mini reviews of a couple of ports. Someone might find them useful.

London Precruise:
Thanks for the tips and thanks for following along. :) We are getting pretty excited. Only two more days!

Also, can you let us know if Brilliance is offering a wine package at all. It seems to be different ship by ship.
I will check into this and post some information.
I think we have our day planned, basically a taxi to Fairview and Citadel then walk our way back to the ship. Not to get too off topic, but any lunch recommendations? We should be in the City Hall/Maritime museum area.
In Halifax, a nice little pub is Your Father's Moustache, it's about 15 min walk from the Maritime museum on Spring Garden Rd. If you have mobility issues, that might not be the best to walk, since Spring Garden has a bit of an incline. But there are some nice fish & chip places on the wharf too, which is a bit closer.

I'll be following along.
Is it Rita's Crab shack or Rita's Cantina?
Also - what are you plans in Halifax?
Looking forward to being on Brilliance in October.
It's Rita's Cantina. And we will be getting off the ship in Halifax, since we are from Nova Scotia. It was just easier than flying back from Boston - which is where the cruise ends. If you're interested, I can give suggestions on what to do in Halifax. :)

Hi Everyone!
I'm going to be doing some daily vlogging on the upcoming Northern Atlantic crossing onboard Brilliance of the Seas, departing September 3rd, 2015.
We will leaving from Harwich, UK and visiting:
Le Havre (Paris), France
Dorset, UK
Cork, Ireland
Klaksvik, Faroe Islands
Reykjavik, Iceland
Halifax, NS, Canada
Do you have any burning questions about the Brilliance or the ports we will be visiting? I'll do my best to answer them or capture them in video.
Check out my youtube channel: "Janna Leigh" for our previous Scandinavian & Russia cruise (July 2014) and to follow along on this sailing. I will do my best to upload videos and check the forum whenever in port and during sea days. Hopefully I can find some decent internet! :)
Happy cruising!

Hi Danish
You seem to have such a wealth of knowledge for Copenhagen, I thought I'd try this thread again in case you were checking it. DH and I are doing a cruise stop there this July. What would be your most recommended sights to see/do in the city? And do you think the Copenhagen Card would be worth it on such a short stop (7am-4pm)?
Thanks in advance.
Janna
