Is it true that you now have to attain Ruby status in order to receive free drinks in the casino?

And the result was...... ?

I am really happy to have received another MSC cruise offer from Mohegan. I really enjoyed the first one on the Seaside, but I was able to pick up the next one. The timing works out perfectly this time :) Anyone else picking one up this weekend?
How do you get the free cruises? I frequent Mohegan on a regular basis, but have never received this type of offer.

If you want a great tour of the whole island, contact Heidi at biways tours - a great tour at a reasonable price.

Unfortunately, anything goes.
We saw farmers just coming off of the back 40, to the properly dressed patrons.
NCL should definitely enforce their "Dress Code"!!!
-
We are definitely weighing our options between the cost of two rooms or squeezing into one to save money! Thanks.
DEFINITELY get two rooms.

Leo definitely is a great entertainer.

You may have read that the Gem was moving to New Orleans and that the Breakaway would be taking over her itineraries. NCL has since announced that the Gem will be staying in NYC, and the Breakaway will move to New Orleans.
I'm waiting for the Gem early 2019 itineraries, too! Should be released by the end of the month.
That is good news.

I used the Amex promo on March 2016 and March 2017. Sorry I don't have any inside info on when the promo will run again!
I also used those two promotions. However, I do check regularly, and nothing has been offered recently.

No, you cannot sit on the side. It has an upright metal edge, about 1/4" thick and 3" tall that stands up on the tub top edge surface. Its the guide for the sliding doors. No one could sit on this edge without big time pain and probable injury.
It will certainly help to get rid of hemorrhoids ( but not very pleasantly)!

You definitely need a stepladder to get in to the bathtub in the mini suites on the Gem.

hi
I just wanted some advice
I have a cruise booked 20th march 2018 but can no longer go as I am pregnant. I was under the impression that as I booked using a cruise next deposit voucher I could cancel 90 days out with no penalty, the voucher will just go back onto my ncl account.
However when my travel agent phoned to check this with NCL they said I would lose the voucher completely. Does anybody know if that's the case? Thanks
Congratulations L7""OOPYS""!

I haven't cruised out of Boston but do live and work in the area. There is parking a close walk to the pier, but like all parking in Boston, it comes at a premium price.

Twenty dollars per day is certainly much better than $40.00 in New York.

Awesome pics!! Thanks for sharing:)
POST CRUISE TOUR.
This may be a longshot, but I will try. Our flight home on July 21 is not until late afternoon.
I can book a private Miami City Tour after we get off of the ship (3 1/2 - 4 hour tour) for up to four people. The price is the same, and seeing that there are just the two of us, if two more people also have a late flight, and are willing to split the cost, then we should talk.

Nope, my dh is not a gambler. In fact he never goes to the casino is why I was so confused.
Now here is the kicker. When reading the bottom of the email I seen a small line that stated this email is intended for "Blank Blank" and gave a members number,. UMMMMMMMMMMMMMM, that is not my dh's name and not his members number.
So in other words, they sent him an email meant for someone else. The email addy is his and it says dear....(his name) but like I said, at the bottom it says it is for someone else.
NCL has done that before, this other person whenever they have a cruise booked, dh gets all of their emails. I have tried to call and tell them but nothing has ever been done.
So, no free cruise for us. I wonder if I was to call what they would say lol.
Try calling them. Who knows?

Some good suggestions. I will look up information on some of these.

We did the City Sightseeing HOHO bus. It leaves from Bayside Market. You can buy tickets from Groupon for $25pp and they sometimes have a sale $10 off/$25. We got ours for $15 pp. There are four different routes, each about 90 minutes each, so you can gauge your time to see how many you can do.
Thank you. This is a good idea.. However, we would like something that leaves directly from the cruise terminal when we leave the ship, and we will have luggage to contend with.
-
Take the NCL Miami excursion with airport drop-off.

I did not see this offered on our tour choices, unless I am missing something.
That would probably be perfect if available.

Our flight home after our July cruise on the Sky is not until 7:00 P.M.
Does any one have any suggestions on how to kill a few hours once we leave the ship? We will have luggage.

Does anyone know the casino hours on the four day overnight in Cuba itinerary?
I know that it will be limited.

I will put more info later, but while fresh on my mind some key points:
1. To disembark early and not on NCL excursion, get to the hand out of numbers for disembarking about 25 mintues before announce time. The line gets long and you will not get a low number if you wait. They start handing out on time and it only takes a short time once the line starts moving. Ours started at 8am. I was in line at 7:40 and got #3 (but lucky they called numbers 1-3 when getting off).
2. Go to Atrium (by Customer Services) about 30 minutes before scheduled disembarking - with passport and disembarking tickets and ship card. They started about 10 min late and took 50% NCl excursion and 50% independent travelers - so we were probably # 20 to get off.
3. Once off the ship, there are about a dozen "stations" for immigration. Line up and wait until called. It takes about 1 to 2 minutes PER PERSON. They take your visa (both parts) and stamp your passport. You do not need visa later on and afterward, getting off or on the ship goes very fast.
4. You go through security, but pretty fast process.
5. Continue straight to currency exchange. This took us about 3-5 minutes total - no problem. But again, we were one of first off the ship, could be longer wait later on. If you have Euro, Canadian, British pounds, you get a much better rare. (There is a restroom to Left of currence exchage if need be). They gave us mostly 10 CUCs ($10) bills, so no problem with large bills. Few Cuban will take US $$ as hard for them to exchange.
5a. We left ship about 8:15am and were out on the street about 8:40am. Again we were close to 1st in line, which helped.
6. What to take: An umbrella for sun, sunscreen, map, list of places to go, moneybelt for extra cash and passports (not that we saw any crime at all), sunglasses, and your smile.
7. We used a private excursion called havana journeys. You can google it. If you do, get Ana; she speaks excellent English and very friendly. Goes where you want to. It was a super deal with guide for 2- 3 hours walking tour in the Old City and then added a driver for another 3 hours for about $100 total for 6 hours!! I gave a nice tip as it was such a great deal. Met on far side of square (Plaza San Francisco) directly across from the port by a statue of Chopin sitting on a bench. We met at 10am as unsure when we would get off ship. But wandered around a bit as many things to see near the port. Returned about 4pm. And Ana can take you to a nice lunch place - just let her know what type of place you want. We went to an excellent inexpensive place and, I think, were the only tourists there!!
Getting back on the ship was a breeze - 10 minutes tops.
More later..... Mike and Liz
Thanks. Great information.

He plays guitar and sings, some harmonica, does a great variety of music. Did a whole set of Beatles sing alongs, some Steely Dan, Elton John, Dylan etc Heard him five times on Gem, still ready for more. Thank you for checking him out.
Agree. Leo is great.

I asked that question while I was on the Sky this past weekend and the casino workers said it's closed while in Cuba.
Thank you. I did call NCL, and they verified what you had stated.

Our last ten cruises with NCL may also be coming to an end.
We cruise once or twice a year, so we do not acquire "Ruby" status. I have two or three drinks a day in the casino, and now NCL wants to take that away from us.
On our recent February cruise my wife had one drink all week, so, obviously, it is not worth our purchasing the "Drink Package".
No more evening "Turn Down Service", and now no more drinks in the casino, as well as other cutbacks.
I can only take so much "nickel and diming".
It is definitely time to make a change!!!
Good bye NCL!!!!!!!!
