  1. We're about to embark on a two week cruise aboard Ovation from Lisbon to Amsterdam in two weeks, and I'm very  excited about it. However, I am concerned about Seabourn's policy regarding blacklisting internet sites. In July of 2017, on a cruise in Alaska, I was unable to access a strategy game I play even though I paid $400 for their "unlimited internet access" for the duration of the cruise.  After dealing with the guest services officer onboard for several days to resolve my issue, my requested site was whitelisted by Seabourn headquarters for the remainder of the trip.  Has anyone had any incidences lately with sites you've tried to access being blacklisted?  I'm wondering if  Facetime, Skyping or online streaming is accessible, since these activities take up much more bandwidth than the average online computer game.

  2. Hire a car and driver. We were in Rio and visited both Sugar Loaf and Christ the Redeemer in about a four hour time span beginning at about 10 am. That night he collected us and drove us to a Samba show preceded by dinner. It was an awesome day, and not as expensive as you might think, given the convenience and personal attention. Your hotel concierge can arrange this for you.

  3. We were aboard Quest in August and dined in the new TK restaurant twice. It was just "OK", honestly, pretty typical steak house fare, nothing special. I think the fact that it was a new venue was part of the problem. Service was slow and largely uninformed. I will not miss it when we are also on Sojourn in July in Alaska.

On the other hand, the Thomas Keller family style dinners in the Collonade were wonderful. We tried all of them, except for the New England "clam bake".
