This has been an amazing journey that you have taken us on--the absolute best review I have followed and the photography is awesome!! We leave next week and I am so excited and following your review makes me feel like I've had a private tour! I've been sharing this with our family and everyone has loved it! If my pics don't turn out, I just may need to borrow some of yours :) this is ending just at the right time and I am hoping our plane has wifi so I can reread every page again!

I can only begin to imagine how much time and effort you have put into this--both on the ship and now, so from the bottom of my heart--thank you for being so considerate to what we all want! I think you may have a career here…

arrive a day early FOR SURE! We arrived a full day ahead but our plane had been delayed three hours. too much can go wrong--even if you arrive on time your luggage can go missing, which when you are boarding a cruise right way can be disastrous! I also found the train to the port a bit challenging, although this was our first trip to Rome. we were fortunate enough to catch the last one and hoofed it to port (lots of stairs) it was way cheaper but hubby said never again--we just made the ship. I couldn't imagine trying to get from the airport to the port on my own--it's quite a haul, and hot! Rome is AMAZING--our 24 hours was not nearly enough. take in the day--it will be worth it for sure!

and I TOTALLY second doing a 12 day cruise--best decision we ever made! so much to see and the flight is a hefty cost so take advantage of it!

can you preorder these? it sounds like they could run out so is it recommended to hit the pool bar once we get on ship or do we go somewhere else?

loving your posts and pics! we leave in three weeks and I'm enjoying it all--pics, menus and the compass. thanks so much!! looking forward to following along on the journey!

quick question for those that stayed at EMBASSY SUITES--we booked there for next month (we are big embassy fans, especially with two teenage boys!) anyway I was wondering if there is a hotel subtle from the Airport to the hotel or do we have to cab it? and if so is it far or how much roughly was it?

From what I understand, you don't "have" to carry the cup around--only if you want to use the new machines. if you want a pop you can still go to the bar etc and get one.

I think they are making you use the cup as a way of monitoring perhaps. then you can't swipe your card twice and get two cups at a time. could be wrong, but that is the only reason I can see that they aren't using the card.

So is there a place on Labadee to rent snorkel gear to do it ourself? anyone know the price and is there a beach in walking distance? sorry--never been there

we are sailing in March and having a look at some of the things to do in Labadee. Our boys (16 & 20) would like to snorkel so we are looking at a couple of those excursions and there are mixed reviews--not many fish, coral was so so etc. If it is good then we will do it for sure, but just wondering if we would be better to just rent some gear and do it on our own along the shore--anyone have any luck with that??

I'm also thinking that we should have time to do a couple excursions? will that be a problem? thinking of the jet skis too--so can you book a certain time? hoping to do one before lunch and one after.

awesome! so--technically you should be able to "facetime" with other Apple users?!! that would be handy! we often facetime while away so then we can touch base but not have to pay for long distance calls! As anyone tried this yet?

This unlimited internet would be awesome--I need it for work but the kids always want to hop on for facebook etc! so we can for sure use it on different devices (my laptop, ipad, iphone etc) but only one device at a time? I think we can handle that!! and it works all over the ship?

I'm tryng to find a show that was on a few years ago that featured the Oasis. It followed the staff and everything they do on a typical embarkation day. (was not about the building of the ship) It was really fascinating and I enjoyed it and now that we are finally sailing on her in a few months I'd like to watch it again. Just can't remember what it was called! can anyone help? thanks!
