My problem is related but quite wacky. I bought FAS+ a while ago, and it showed up everywhere just fine. Then, a few weeks ago I decided to upgrade the unlimited wifi to premium unlimited wifi with streaming. You can only do that over the phone, which I did. However afterwards, I noticed on both the app and the website, that it no longer shows me as having purchased FAS+ nor the wifi upgrade. It actually was offering FAS+ for me to purchase again. I called a few different times to NCL - both the main # and the technical support desk - and no one could figure it out, but I was assured it shoed on my reservation. Luckily I did get an email confirmation that shows it all, including payments. I asked whether the system that generated that confirmation is the system they use to check people in at the cruise terminal (I didn't want to have to waste time dealing with this once I'm on vacation) and they said yes. So it seems that the website/app is quite funky when it comes to FAS+. 🤷♂️

For me, cruising is an opportunity to splurge and treat myself right. I now do both the Vibe and the Spa. They are very different experiences, and I love them both. Especially since I tend to sail when there are a lot of kids on board, both are child-free havens. Even when I would sit poolside, I would rarely actually go in the pool, and the hot tubs are always crowded and with lots of kids. The Vibe is a nice respite from that, and a much bigger hot tub. And awesome bar service.

On my last cruise, I booked through a TA and one of the perks was a photo package that included every single photo I wanted on a jump drive. For my upcoming cruise, I booked directly with NCL and am sad to see that no such option exists prior to sailing (the digital files in the available packages are only those which you select to print). Does anyone know if they offer any packages onboard that might have access to more digital files? TIA!

Wow, thanks! Do I give them this code that the OP mentioned at the top: PHO50A
Just tell them you have the C***co package. They are familiar with it and will validate that the code is on your reservation.

Wow, thank you! I travel with folks who love taking photos, and I'm more of, "why bother if we're not buying them?" which is silly because they always want to buy them. I'm much happier with 4x6 types anyway... kinda wish I knew this ahead of time.
Do we just give them the code at the Photo Gallery when we're ready to order? Do they all seem to know about this spcial? We happened to buy our cruise from the TA involved anyway.
I had this on my cruise in December. On the day before disembarkation, go to the photo area and give them the numbers of the prints tagged to your cabin that you want printed. Up to 50 of them, whether unique or copies - you still get 50 prints. You will then get every single photo - printed or not - on a USB drive, and all delivered to your cabin. It was a great deal!

I can no longer endorse this upgrade. I get the feeling NCL is using it to pump up revenues and not providing the same value they had for years before.
Gary, you have been the guide and beacon for the PPD for so many (much appreciated!) and I am neither disagreeing nor arguing with you. I actually do agree with you, but would offer a different perspective.
I pay for the FAS+ because a) I want the unlimited WiFi, b) I want the two extra specialty meals, and c) the price of the PPD when packaged together comes down a bit. Yes, I would definitely like more top shelf brands and not have to hear "supply chain" ever again, and yes, I would like more than one bottle of wine. But I - and, like you, this is a very personal choice - believe I probably make my money back between two Starbucks drinks a day, bottled sparkling water with every meal (and bottles of water after dancing late at night), Biosteel hydration drinks after the gym and time in the sun, and whatever top shelf items I can get. And all without worrying about what my tab will look like at the end of the cruise. Like you, just my personal perspective.

P.S. Noticed that GA had a planned stop at GSC but ?? It appeared that, based on Marinetraffic data, she visited or stop at Nassau yesterday and went out to sea again, and is docked at Nassau today (again ??) - a very busy port with 6 ships there now, wall-to-wall crowds in town.
GSC was canceled due to rough seas. We sailed straight to Nassau to offload a passenger who required hospitalization, went back out to sea, and then back to Nassau the next day as scheduled.

Came off the Getaway on Saturday and on my first visit to Starbucks was told only one drink at a time. This was different than when I was on the Bliss 3 years ago where I could get two at a time. My sense is they're cracking down on this. Bars are still two drinks at a time.

The Inniskillin Ice wine by the glass is another plus.
This is something I have not yet tried and want to - perfect (I have P+ for the Getaway in two days). On what ship did you have it and at what venue?

Also, are 18+ comedy shows strictly enforced or would my 17 year old be able to attend without raising eyebrows?
My then-15 year old daughter went to the comedy shows and Howl at the Moon with me and loved them. And was offered drinks!

It arrived four hours late today (don't know why) so disembarkation/embarkation has been running late

I don't believe this is correct. How do you know so much about this stuff? Are you a NYC cab driver?
Gotta stick up for njhorseman. He's spot on - any NY'er would know that. And that's why they prey on out-of-towners at the airports and piers.

Embarkation Day Instructions
I live a mile from the terminal and have embarked there at least 4 times, and I don't think I could have explained it any better!

Don't know if it applies here, but in some cases that indicates those lights are on a separate emergency circuit so that if power goes out, they would still operate on an alternative energy source such as batteries.

still doesn't mean they should keep our port fees...lol
I hear you. The only time this happened to me was in 2019 when we skipped GSC because we couldn't tender, and I think we each got back $11 or $16 to our on-board accounts automatically. Low amounts because, though still part of the Bahamas, they own the island.
And if you just say Jee-Ess-See, it solves the pronunciation issue 😂

but instead we would make a stop at Great Stirrup Key (weird that the CD kept calling it Great Stirrup Key)
Cay is pronounced Key . . .
It was a long time before I learned that and I still sometimes say "Kay" in my head 🙂

Been bringing one of these for years, on cruises, oversea's ..... https://amzn.to/3VFLw9k
Never had an issue in the luggage or in a cabin
Thanks - very similar to the one I picked (on the advice of folks here) https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B004J6B08C/

I've decided to follow the advice of bringing a fan on my upcoming cruise. I've read, though, that some people who packed one in their checked baggage ended up having their luggage sent to the naughty room. Has this happened to anyone, or have you successfully packed a fan in your luggage? Would rather avoid having to pack it in my carry-on which will be a small backpack. Departing out of NYC if that makes a difference. Thanks!

Sailing solo in 3 weeks and had the same question/concern. Pretty sure I read somewhere that they do have solo kayaks which is why I signed up. But following to see if there is any other feedback. Might also want to post in the Solo Travelers and/or Private Islands forums.

I can only tell you my experience which was that I booked my cruise 110 days out and was able to purchase one the same day I booked.

For 11 days, the Thermal Suite pass is $259.
That's less than I paid for my upcoming 8-day cruise. I'd grab it.

Has anyone sailed in this cabin before? It looks to have a slightly oversized balcony (plus, plus) But I cant figure out how the room is laid out. We prefer the bed on the right hand side near the door, with the TV to the right of the bed.. (lol sounds silly i know) Any help would be great!:D
I know it's been over 4 years, but I'm wondering if you remember whether the room was laid out as you wanted. I'm sailing in 4 weeks and chose this cabin for exactly the same reasons (slightly bigger balcony, bed placement) 😁 Thanks!

Surprised no one has also mentioned that spa services are discounted on port days 😄

Yes, and you can wear it back to your cabin. Just bring it back on your next visit and you can also then swap for a fresh one if you like.
