Hi all... the exact same thing happened ourselves in July with Royal Caribbean. Booked and paid for an outside guarantee for the four of us. Got phone call 4 days before to say ship was overbooked even though I rang twice previously querying why we hadn't been allocated yet. We too had flights and hotel booked and didn't find out until 2 days before that we got an inside room. We had no other choice but to accept it as we had planned everything around our holiday dates as well including leave from work and couldn't change. It really left a bad taste towards rci.

That is stranger than fact, You don't even get price drops before final payment in the UK. Would be very nice to know which UK agent offers such a deal, and we will all flock to them !

Booked direct with celeb for a cruise 2 years ago and after final payement got £1200.00 refunded to my credit card due to a price drop.. as did other cc roll call members !

Hi Everyone

 

im a first time cruiser, so would appreciate any handy tips and hints on quantum class.

 

Id like to know if im able to bring orange squash on board? My toddlers only drink squash or they get funny tummys. I asked RC who were very confused when I tried to explain what orange squash was and they still didn't understand. I know I cant buy it onboard and I know they don't provide it.

 

Also ive just read online that they confisgate cough medicines etc, I need to bring calpol for the kids so I hope they don't take that !

 

 

ALSO - ive just read that the shows are online and available to book as of a couple of days ago, ive been online lots of times and the entertainment doesn't show as being able to view let alone book... has anyone else seen what shows are going to be onboard and are the seats open to book?

 

ive been told that anthem will be exctly the same as quantum so wondered if anyone had any advice for our first time cruising. We have 2 toddlers with us so any family advice on cruising would be great too.

I have two kids and they have been cruising from 6 months old. We have always brought several bottles of calpol and have never had any issues. I have never heard of this and dont know why/how they could justify doing it. The kids have been on rci/celebrity 10+ cruises.

I was just about to ask the same question reference the port. I see online that it cost €30 from airport for minibus. I am considering Equinox b2b in June so am researching flights and hotels as Istanbul is new to me!.... Neil

who knows, we have done 2 btb's with X & both times the experence was different from 1) what we were told in advance , 2) what what on the other ship & 3) what was told to us a couple of days before end of the 1st cruise.

Don't sweat it, the bright side is that X may give you a special treat for the 2nd cruise.

It varies due to the requirements of the local authorities.

 

As you will not be in the US it should be fairly easy. Will you be changing rooms?

 

Keep in mind that each cruise is independent, you can't carry over in board credit. Or Internet minutes. Or anything cumulative. You will close out your first SeaPass account and start a new one.
