Not sure if anyone has seen this or if it’s been answered elsewhere. We have a sailing booked on Virtuosa out of Barcelona on the 20th Sept for a cruise around the Med and down to Lisbon and Morocco. The cruise has disappeared off MSC website, however it is still showing for embarkation from Genoa, Malaga and Lisbon (all ports of call on the cruise) The next Barcelona sailing is also showing for the 29th Sept. On our booking summary it has got NAR and your cruise departs in 19 days time. On speaking to MSC on Friday they advised it has been cancelled, but nothing has come through by email to confirm this. We also managed to pay more off earlier that day by phone, so it makes me think the right hand doesn’t know what the left hand is doing at MSC. Anyone else had this experience, or knows more about Virtuosa’s plans? I know she is sailing around the UK and I did read somewhere that this was planned to go on until the end of October.
My account shows the same. Booking now says NAR. (No Action Required perhaps??) I was booked on Virtuosa on sept 21th. Marseille to Marseille. Now it shows a one night cruise on april 28th. MSC in the Netherlands told me Italy is working on it and this is a temporary solution. Since the sailing from Kiel is cancelled, I suppose the Virtuosa will stay in Genoa for the period of begin september till the 22nd. Last sailing I could find for Virtuosa on the UK site is aug.31. for 7 nights. On the Dutch site the sailings are not shown.
MSC will probably send an e-mail soon to inform us. In the meantime I have booked a hotel in Genoa for the 21st, just in case they offer me Genoa to Genoa (9 nights) or Genoa to Marseille (8 nights). I've had this happen before with a cruise planned in May. I didn't like the new route nor the ship so they transferred my booking to Virtuosa for september. I also received OBC for the inconvenience.

It was there. I also have a 5 + 15 % booked. Booked it in februari. All the 10% and 15% are now gone though. The cruise I booked has disappeared.

Seashore was not planned till June. So Fantasia is not replacing Seashore in april and May. I will wait to hear from MSC what the reason is for changing the itinerary and the 10-day sailing into a weekly sailing. This is a major change and a big disappointment.

I'm booked on the Fantasia for May 2021. Eastern Mediter. Athens, Istanbul etc. All the sailings now come up with "fully booked" , i.e. no longer able to book.

Can anyone tell me where the bed is located in cabin 12146 or in any of the other cabins 12140 - 12154. Is it next to the balcony or next to the bathroom?

I booked this cruise today and within half an hour received an e-mail that itinerary has changed.

Danke! Great review. So here´s part 1 of my ship review. It´s a deck by deck description with tons of photos (and some videos - sorry, that´s my first try so they are far away from being perfect). The text is in German but I follow the deckplans and you can try google translate. Restaurants as well as bars / lounges will be featured in a separate entry (too many photos). Next to my cabin I will also implement the show cabins I´ve visited. Last part planned is an extense review of the christening. The other parts will hopefully be online over the next few days - depending on how much time I can spend on this.steamboats

Not when you need to use a public restroom. So handy to have some. For the rest I wouldn't exchange too many Euros for rubles. Will be hard to exchange them again if not used.Talin is on the Euro. You might be able to get some Rubles in Talin, but will likely not get a great exchange rate. The reality of St Petersburg is that its often very possible to spend a few days in that city without using any Rubles....especially if you are on a private tour or cruise line excursion. In many places they are happy to accept Euros or US Dollars...and credit cards (especially MC and Visa) are accepted in many restaurants and shops.Hank

Why not just exchange Euros for Rubles in Talinn, assuming Talinn is one of the ports.Does anyone know if MSC liners (in particular MAGNIFICA) have ATMs on board? If not, can the "Casino" be used to exchange Euros (Baltic Cruise) to Rubles? Thanking you for your assistance.Sent from my PRA-LX1 using Forums mobile app

Hi - sorry didn't see this till now!
We got dropped off at a huge underground car park which has lifts that take you up to the start of the town of Taormina, you can see where the town starts but our guide took us into the town. I was ok, I had been there before. I love Taormina but the time we had on the DIY tour was far too short so I would advise getting a booked taxi tour there & back if you can. You need at least 3.5 hrs or more to do Taormina justice. We didn't get to see the theatre, there just wasn't enough time. We got less than 2 hours time.
Thanks Kikki, our brochure says 5 hours including the transfer for the DIY, no guide. That should leave us about 2 1/2 to 3 hours to explore Taormina. Knowing where drop-off point is can help us plan ahead, I'll check on the map where the underground car park is located.

We went through our excursions yesterday so for Marseilles - we will catch the cruise shuttle. I know there is a free one but have read that it isn't very reliable & is often packed so we would rather opt for seats we can sit on but we will see, maybe some recent cruisers will tell me it's not that bad.
Genoa - we are doing the MSC excursion to Portofino - booked that last night.
Naples - we are still undecided. I had heard there was a bus shuttle to Herculaneum from the port area & I know you can get the train but as it is a short port call we really want to max out our time there.
Messina - we have booked the Taormina on your own tour. I did this in 2009 & it was a fabulous day & really chilled out.
Valletta - looks like the ho ho bus is calling - now to start my packing!!!
Hi Kikki,
I came across this thread and saw you did the Taormina on your own tour. We are planning a similar route on the Seaview this summer. Do you remember where the bus dropped you off in Taormina?
September sailings - MSC Virtuosa

Cabin Category ship was the same, but ship was transfered from newer to older and route was shortened. They lowered price for me. Virtuosa is now 4th ship and 4th change in route since my original booking. Virtuosa will probably also be replaced by Seaview. I saw this today on an Italian website.
