  1. 15 US p/p if you can fill a taxi it is a better deal 10/12 eu for the trip and you don't have wait till they fill the coach or have to get back to drop off for the coach .

Taxis are plentiful and cheap ,you can hail them anywhere also they do not expect a tip !!

Just to be clear, are you saying that you can get a taxi from the port to town for 10/12 euro total? Or per person? We will have four people, so we could easily fill a taxi on our own.

  2. Thank you for posting your experience. Many are first-time cruisers or this may be their first time in San Juan. I appreciate the information so that we can all be aware of our surroundings. It is sad that someone would take advantage of the tourists. They are bringing so many legitimate opportunities to the area (jobs, etc.).

  3. I was on the Fantasy docked at Castaway on Friday of this week. We did, in fact, have a young Aisan male found in the water unresponsive. They rushed him back to the ship doing chest compressions. It was very scary! There were several children in our group less than ten feet from where they pulled him from the water. So happy to read this morning that he is doing well. Crew on the island did confirm with us that an older gentleman died on Thursday when found out in the water. Strange that these two incidents happened on consecutive days.

  4. Has anyone stayed in an Owner's Suite (AA) on the POA, rooms 8000 or 8500? They are located directly in the front, so my concern is whether the balcony is functional while the ship is moving (i.e. wind). I have searched the NCL forum and have not found anyone discussing this potential problem.

We stayed in an aft penthouse on the Sun a few years ago and the balcony was constantly covered in soot. We had to ask daily for it to be cleaned, but by sail away in the evenings it would be dirty again. It was somewhat of a waste of a balcony.

    Thanks!
