  1. There is currently a sale for Surf & Stream for our Liberty sailing in September. In the past on ships I've only gotten the Surf package and it was adequate for my needs. There is no 'Surf only' option via on line. Is there that option once on board?

How is the wifi? Is it true VOOM speed? I've been used to Quantum Class.

  2. We were given a card to fill out after we dined at Grande earlier this month on the Anthem. There were a few different categories and faces with different expressions to mark off. We were encouraged to check off the smiley face for each category and drop the card off outside in the hallway where there was a special survey box.

I don't mind doing reviews but this is suppose to be the Grandest formal night and I think it was a tacky way to end that evening for sure.

  3. Well I am glad to surprise you. I spent 15 yrs of my toxicology career helping companies get EPA registrations for various pesticides but paqrticularly antimicrobial agents. Efficacy testing is SPECIFICALLY required for ALL antimicrobial products that claim to kill bacteria, fungi , viruses and other infectious organisms.

Your EPA link is appreciated but most people are not familiar with EPA registrations and I posted a more user friendly list that also listed WHERE to buy some of these products.

Thank you for your addition which are for ACTIVE INGREDIENTS registered with EPA for use as hard surface sanitizers/disinfectants and not for hand sanitation per se. Continue to be surprised every day that you may actually meet people who know more than you do.

BTW: "Regulation of Hand Sanitizers by FDA. Hand sanitizers are regulated in the USA by the Food and Drug Administration (FDA) as drugs."

What about Hibiclens Antimicrobial Skin Liquid Soap?

    http://amzn.to/1ShNs3q

We leave on Friday's sailing and I don't have time to order any of the products you listed but I DO have some Hibiclens on hand. Thinking of putting it in a small bottle for my purse and use this instead of soap to wash my hands during the day. Thoughts?

  4. Well, then it's the virus  Otherwise they'd let people stay until the original debark date and not have to incur any change fees for travel arrangements. Not everyone drove to get to the ship...

Can't think of any other legitimatereason for them to force people to debark.

If this storm develops and comes up the coast we could in fact be in the midst of a moderate to major snowstorm Friday morning. That could in fact be a legitimate reason to want everyone off and heading home in advance of the approaching storm.

  5. NWS/NOAA Marine forecast is showing gale warnings in the mid-Atlantic for Wednesday-ish. While they will probably take advantage of an extra day or two to scrub the ship for Noro before the 3/4 cruise, I think the storm thing is legit (esp in light of what happened recently).

Hoping it is cleaned up before we board. Sorry for those coming home but it sounds like they are compensating fairly. I hope they are reimbursing for change in flight costs or hotels for those 2 nights also.

  6. You might be able to see on my Live thread about the topic. My boyfriend and I were selected to be on ABC's Good Morning America last night. They put us in a hotel and everything. This morning we got a call saying they weren't running the piece, something else came up. We're waiting in the lobby for our ride to the airport when the other groups that came with us last night came to the hotel and said they were just on TV.

    Our positive light was extinguished.

That is all kinds of wrong! So only the two of you were left out of the piece it seems? :/ I do have to say that the segment was actual pretty good and upbeat. I didn't think there was any unnecessary drama.

  7. We have been on the ship since Jan.26th doing 4 btb cruises. We were told erroneously earlier that the next cruise was cancelled. The entertainers, Cruise Director and a supervisor from Customer Service ENSURED us that their latest update is that THERE WILL BE A 2/13 CRUISE. No propeller was damaged AS RUMORED. Repairs can be done at Bayonne. Royal is putting us btb cruisers up at a hotel in Manhattan for two nights. HOPE THIS IS TRUE!!!

It sounds like they are handling communication with the BtB cruisers quite well! Thank you for sharing.

  8. No one knows the answer yet as to if the ship will be sailing this weekend therefore there is nothing but speculation. Somehow speculation is okay if it's something that seems to agree with your thoughts only it appears. [not to any one poster but to many complaining about speculative posts].
