I’m tempted to just bring over a couple six packs of diet Snapple (I don’t like fizzy drinks) and try and get them onboard - if they confiscate them, then the loss is only 12 to 15 bucks. I am embarking out of Barcelona.

Can I bring a small case of diet iced tea aboard my ship (Costa Smeralda)? I don’t like soda because of the fizz. Most cruise lines will let you bring 10-12 cans/bottles aboard, but after reading all this mess about Costa and them not even serving tap water free at dinner, it makes me think they’ll probably not allow it. I’m from the USA if that makes any difference. Your thoughts?

I like to bring a small case of Diet Iced Tea (in little sealed plastic bottles). I did that a few years ago, but apparently the rules have changed. I wouldn't mind buying such on board, but they don't have Diet Iced Tea in the bars or entertainment facilities (only carbonated diet sodas which hurt my tummy). One option is to bring an empty beverage container with a sealed top and fill it up at mealtimes for drinking later on. Your advise?

If it would meaning losing a mid-ship balcony for a mini-suite in the front of the ship, not interested especially sailing from NY to Bermuda!:(:(:( I want to be able to select my cabin location.

I’m curious - what’s the downside of a cabin in the front of the ship?

I’m sailing on the Escape 6 May and have a (family) balconycabin. Got an offer from NCL to bid onan upgrade. All of the Haven cabins minimumbid prices are way too high for me ($800 - $1,500 pp). However, one category is a Mini-Suite for a minimumbid of $30.
But there doesn’t appear to be too much difference between aBalcony and Mini-Suite, so is it even worth it? The square footages are essentially the same (yes, a couple higherlevels of the Mini-Suites are significantly larger, but most of the levels arethe same square footage as a Balcony). Ditto with the Mini-Suite’s balcony size.
Am I missing something here? Thank you.
Any idea what the Costa Cruises term “first breakfast” means?

Any idea what the Costa Cruises term “first breakfast” means? It’s on their website (for certain premium level cabins). It can’t be early or late seating for breakfast (“first” meaning early seating), because they offer no sit-down breakfast dining option at all (it’s 100% buffets). Having been to many countries, I’m thinking it’s another language term for Continental Breakfast. I’ve done internet research and nothing comes up as “first breakfast”. Costa Cruises has it as a benefit on their website for certain level cabins, so it means something. But numerous people aboard the ship assert they don’t offer Continental Breakfast anymore (they admit they offered it during the pandemic, but it has since been discontinued) – it’s only full breakfast now via room service at a $5 Euro per day charge. Any insight? Thank you.
