  1. Just returned from MSC Seashore our 5th with MSC and had been enjoyed it and also enjoyed everyone before this one..  Before this cruise we read so many bad reviews from people whose stated that everything was so bad that they would NEVER cruise with MSC again and so on.

The buffet got plenty things to eat. MDR also has many items for everyone to choose from.  The ship is beautiful and spotless everywhere, the staffs were nice.  We are not a fan of elevator and their shows some  were good and some not too great but with their price is lower then other lines we would go with them again.

Not sure about the photo (we don’t bother) but both will get the one hour thermal spa access as well as priority boarding.

We are both Diamond members,  We got 2 pictures the ship people took during a Diamond Member Cocktail party.  On Seaside they asked for the cruise card before taken and on Seashore they did not however you must go to the Photo shop area to get them.

We will be arriving in Roatan on April 29th on the Magnifica. Our nephew is arriving on the Icon of the Seas the same day. We would like to plan a get together. Does anyone know which cruise port the Magnifica goes to?  Think RCCL uses Coxen. Thanks for any info

July 2023 on Seaside there was another RCCL ship in port in Coxen   RCCL ship used the main pier and MSC used the side pier (construction was going on).

We had been both in Mahogany and Coxen.  Mahogany is MUCH nicer but of course if you are on a non-Carnival group ship a very good chance you will end up in Coxen.  Roaton is very beautiful island, but the poverty is very bad just outside Coxen.

Were do you get that schedule? Trying to figure out which pier it will dock at on April 5th.

This is where the schedule for all piers in Cozumel you can find out by month at a time.

Cozumel (Quintana Roo Mexico, Riviera Maya) cruise port schedule | CruiseMapper

NCL/Disney will have more priority to dock at Punta Langosta and if either lines are there at the same time with MSC then the MSC will be dock at International Pier.

We like Punta Langosta (downtown pier too) and had been docked International Pier a few times when we were on MSC.

    Enjoy your cruise

I traveled on the Jade around the Greek Islands in 2022. She's a nice ship, but I'm partial to Princess.

We are partial with Princess too and Princess does have ANYTIME dining for those who does not want the lock in time.

Norwegian Jade will use the old locks as well. From Colon or Fuerte Amador I’d planned on doing the small boat excursion into the locks, which is offered by both cruise lines from either port, and shopping is definitely my least preferred hobby lol.

    😁

We had been on both ships and had been through the canal (Pacific - Atlantic) but not on them.  As either ships would go THROUGH the canal and you would get experience to see how the locks operate from the comfort of your ship(s) which costs nothing.

We did a small boat excursion into the lock, it was nice to touch the canal wall etc but one thing to remember the cruise ship pays PRIORITY to go through but not the small boat tour it must tag a long with another big ship to go through canal the waiting time can be a few minutes or longer.

  7. We had cruised from Miami several and once we got used to with Port Canaveral no look back for us because this port is easy to get to and the parking is also so much easy.

We had cruised on MSC several times from port Canaveral and our next one will be on the Seashore in a few weeks.  All our MSC cruises were not YC but good for the money we paid for.

    Happy cruising

We are not in YC, but are Diamond. Do we have to wait for our printed time?

MSC does not check the boarding time.  On our last four cruises we just showed up whenever time and there is a line for Diamond members on the right hand side.  Once you complete the procedures (including re-take the picture) they would let you board (if the ship is already cleared).

I will be sailing on the MSC Seaside soon and was wondering what restaurants are available for the Diamond specialty benefit?

    Thank you!

We were on Seaside twice and for a diamond specialty dinner were at Butcher's Cut only (both cruises were on April and July this year).  We were non-yatch club.

You will need to reserve the time slot as soon as you are on board.  In July the dinner slot ran out by 12.30 pm and only lunch slots were available.

Are decaf coffee and decaf tea available at the Buffet and MDRs on MSC Seaside during Caribbean Cruises?

Yes, there is decaf coffee (already made) at the buffets (decks 8th and 16th).  These buffets also have decaf tea bags to make for yourself.

Are the laundry rooms open 24 hours a day?  Any suggestions on the best time to access washer/dryer?

Some ships open 24 hours some do not.  I am an early riser I would start very early of the day/late night.  You might be better off doing your own laundry than to send it out.    $3 a load to wash and $3 a load to dry.  Just bring along some detergent pods/dryer sheets.  The laundry room also has iron to press the clothes too.

    Hi,

Just booked our first cruises with a group of 14 on Euribia next year to Norwegian Fjords.

    Some questions :

    2. How can we get show reservations? Do we do this now, or on the ship? Can 1 of us do this for the group?

    5. Do we need to bring towels?

We did not cruise on Euribia but can answer the above questions per our experiences on Seaside.

    2.  The TV screen around the ship would let you do for all the people on your booking by using cruise card(s).

    5.  In most cabins MSC does not provide FACE TOWELS but will provide bath/hand towels.  If you need face towels just ask your cabin attendant for them you could have just one day or everyday.

  13. As a Diamond level VC, out 4 sailings 2 times robes and slippers were in the cabin on the first day, 1 time we asked for them and the last time they forgot it all together and did not have diamond priority departure/diamond party and other benefits as stated on the provided list.  MSC very inconsistency on their benefits. On last cruise they did not bother to send out an email for the survey.  MSC might get too famous to care how they had performed.

Yet if you walked past the restaurants in the evening I bet they were half empty (they were on my cruise, despite being told there aren't spaces available).

Yes, it was our observation too.  With status match program with many diamond members on board, we are wondering if MSC using this method to discourage diamond people from using this benefit.  It it was very strange in late May we could choose anytime and any date then 2 months late on the same ship they told us such.

We like MSC enough to cruise with them but not too happy on some of their ways of doing things such 3 MDR seatings and $5 charge for another entree etc.

the free specialty restaurant "tasting menu" perk?

How do you go about making reservation with this perk?

Thanks in advance for your help in this matter.

We made the reservation on board.  Remember to make it VERY EARLY.  On 7-23 sailing we made as soon as we boarded the spaces already filled for dinner for next 7 days and the only time left was lunch.  With many dining packages sold it was hard to get a space ones wanted and the menu is the same but a much for lunch.  We enjoyed this freebee.

I see on the menu above that the shrimp cocktail says baby shrimp cocktails. On the past 5 cruise's we have been on it always was jumbo shrimp cocktail that you could get every night...Is this a change and is the always available jumbo shrimp gone each night??????

MSC must change the MDR menu fast.  We were on Seaside 7/23 - 7/30 the shrimp cocktail was JUMBO (not mentioned as baby shrimp on the menu).

Headed on Preziosa in October and am in full research mode.  I have some questions for those of you who have done these ports with MSC before:

    2) Le Havre - We are going to go to the D-Day landing beaches. It's really important to us. At this point, I am thinking we are going to rent a car at the rental place right there at the port in LeHavre. Yes, I know it's not a short drive. On the Ireland MSC site, I saw an excursion to the British and Canadian landing beaches but not American. That excursion is not listed anymore. No D-Day landing excursions listed on the US site. I'd love any tips or suggestions if you've done this trip before.

You will need to go to EUROPE BOARD/FRANCE PORTS, this is where you can find the information regarding D-Day landing beaches.  It is best if you can join with some group on a roll call (if there is any) to go to this site because you would need a guide to show/inform you about this place.  We joined a group on a roll call (but do not remember the name) and it was wonderful, some of our roll call people went with Over Lord company (this company is well know on Le Harve port of call) and they enjoyed it very much too.  Even with a  private company it was an expensive tour and worth every dollar.  Happy cruising.
