We are taking our 3rd Carnival cruise in September. We have cruised in the past with our DS at anytime of the year, but since he has been in school we have been vacationing during the breaks. Well, OMG we are tired of paying up to twice the normal fee to cruise during school breaks. So, since he is 8 and still in elementary school we have decided to take our next cruise during September on the Magic. Do other people do this and if so we are wondering about the amount of similar aged kids on the ship during that time. We are fine with him hanging with us, but would love for him to have a handful of kids to play with during our trip.

We did this last year (first week in Sept.). There were plenty of other kids on the boat for out kids to play with, especially when we dropped them off at Camp Carnival. There were of course noticeably fewer than when we had previously cruised in the summer. On the plus side, this meant shorter lines for the water slides, ropes course, etc.

Just got off the Magic today. American Table has not started yet.
