  1. I hope this is not repetitive but I have searched to no avail.

1.I understand there are 4 "main" dining rooms and since we are early dining, it appears we will be assigned one of the 4 but are able to request and reserve a night(s) in one of the other 3. Somewhere I saw a link where you could reserve one of the 4 prior to cruising...anyone have that link?

    2. I have the set menus for every 14 nights on the M and S class ships. Are the menus and order (1-14) the same on the Edge? I do understand there will be specific entrees according to each dining room's theme. Example: prime rib always on nights 1 and 10, lamb chops on night 2.

    3. Would love to hear any opinions on each of the 4. We have probably already ruled out Tuscan due to our lack of luster experience on the Millenium last week. The main dining room was fabulous, I might add.

Thank you in advance. If anyone is interested in the regular main dining room menus or you have questions, I will try to help you with that.

    Bonvoyage!

  2. We will be in PQ this November and I am wondering if there is a nice place to have lunch in the port area. Not sure our group wants to take the bus trip to Antigua.

Anything else interesting without taking the bus ride?

    Thanks in advance.

Regarding your cruise that stops in Panama and taking a Canal tour, I think that is a great idea.  The Canal itself is something that can be experienced more than once.  Your Canal tour will only take you through part of the Canal, however experiencing the locks on a smaller vessel is a completely different perspective that when you are on a large ship.

We will be doing a full transit on Celebrity Millenium early November. I have found excursions that say you take a ferry through the canal but you have a lengthy bus ride before and after...is this what you are suggesting? We want to make the most of our stop since the whole point is to experience the Canal. Thanks!

  4. We hope to be right there with you on Millie!

Sailing the fjords are very smooth - but where does the cruise start.

The answer very much depends on from which port your cruise is starting - Also time of the year.
North Sea can be quite rough even during summer but in general not very different from an Alaska cruise.

Considering the 14-day Amazara cruise, July 25 out of Dublin, ending in Amsterdam, discussed above...what would seas be like before and after Norway...haven't sailed on this small of ship before.

So — back by popular demand (or maybe not 🤪) I will be posting live and answering questions about our cruise from St. Maarten. We are on our way to Miami tonight and take the first flight out to SXM tomorrow AM.

FYI for anyone flying in day prior, night before, or same day (including those on a connecting ticket, even with an overnight stop) you may be denied boarding without your EHAS approved. If you are waiting on a PCR result, I highly reccomend getting an antigen test in addition to your PCR so that getting to the island isn’t an issue. Don’t ask how we know this.

If you have requests for info or photos ahead of boarding, let me know so I can prioritize.

I am considering a trip either to the southern caribbean on celebrity edge or aruba, bonair and cutacao on celebrity silhouette. Any comments on itinerary or ship as to why i should choose one over the other?

Booked on the Edge in December so can't give you personal info on that but Silhouette is our favorite ship. We love the specialty restaurant on top that is open air. We always hit it several times. The Reflection is the only other ship with that restaurant and we thought the Reflection was too many people. I'm afraid we might feel that way on the Edge.

You are welcome. Catching up on replies at lunch on Raw on Five.  I recall the first call about 10 days from sailing and another 9 days. I think the second call was because we had a 14 year old and it was a tight turn for him to have his second shot and waiting period before sailing, which he completed 9 days before the sailing date.  It’s been great, people tearing up leaving port, media broadcasting, crew so appreciative to have passengers and a job.  Every interaction feels like a hug.  A vessel of like minded people. No drama.  Zero, zilch, nada, none... Cheers to your cruise!

    Today’s email

Thank you for being our "eyes" onboard! We are booked on the first Equinox sailing July 25. When did you start hearing from Celebrity regarding "check-in" etc. Celebrity told me it would be 30 days prior to sailing but we still haven't received notice. Thank you in advance. Don't forget to enjoy!

  10. 1. We have the classic beverage pkg. If we want a drink that is more than the $9 allowance, do we pay for the difference or the entire cost of the more expensive drink? What is actual price difference in classic and premium package if we upgrade onboard?

    2. We would like to purchase the 8 night specialty dinner package. Has anyone waited to purchase it onboard, and if so, was it more than the $265 price to purchase prior to cruise? My husband has always gone directly to the specialty dining rooms and gotten better prices from the maitre d' than the pre-cruise price but we have never done more than 4 nights.

    Thanks for your input!

  11. I have read posts as far back as 2016, but still undecided about the best beach that has chairs/lounges, shade, food and drinks. It looks like the choices are Plaza, Spice/Coco, Harbor Village Resort, Eden, Sorobon. Given Bonaire is a snorkeling island, what would be the best bet for 4 active seniors who don’t want to snorkel? Pros, cons, comparisons appreciated. Thanks, in advance.

  12. We just debarked on Saturday from the Crown - Inside Passage with Glacier Bay. Happy to answer any questions??

We are considering a 17 day South American cruise Dec 2016. I have read this will be the Crown's final year. Two questions:

Does the Crown look like it needs to retire? Sure hate to spend 17 on a ship that looks tired.

Buffet question: The last time we sailed on a Princess ship we said it would be our last due to the fact the buffet had a one-way buffet line. You were only allowed to enter through one end and come out the other. The line was huge. We much prefer the stations plan where you can come and go. What is the plan on the Crown? Thank you in advance!
