If you have unlocked phones, you can pick up T-Mobile during your travels. They have no contracts.

It looks like for these sailings that you can get on the ship in either Copenhagen or Warnemunde. So, for example, you can sail from May 16-25 (Copenhagen - Copenhagen) or from May 17-26 (Warenmunde-Warnemunde). You visit both, it is just a question of where you start and finish. It doesn't matter much if you're not doing a pre or post cruise stay, but if you are, you can decide where you want to do this.

 

Since you haven't been to Berlin, I'd recommend spending a couple days there pre or post cruise. Then you can still see Copenhagen as a port call.

That is what we are doing as well, embarking in Warnemunde and spending a few days in Berlin post cruise. Looking forward to it!

My source about the competence of the NCL agents are the endless reports on here about what people have been told by them. As a rule, if an NCL phone agent says it then it's incorrect.

 

As an example, if what they say was correct then this whole conversation would be irrelevant due to NCL only having one ship in Europe.

Regarding the Stockholm stop for the June 4th , 2017 sailing. I called NCL to confirm what I had researched previously and the agent confirm the Getaway would dock at Frihamnen, which is in Stockholm itself.

I can't confirm this is true for all sailings.

If multi city turns out pricy. Try 2 one ways with Norwegian Air. You might consider taking a train from Venice to Rome and fly out of Rome.

Just checked one way from Chicago to Amsterdam at end of June. Cost is now 3036.00 usd. RT for same date and returning mid July is about 2800.00! That's just crazy for saga class. Really hope this is just a momentary screw up on their part, but all pricing one way in June is now that price. Crazy!

Why are you concentrating on Icelandair? There are several other options for 1/2 of that price. Is this for economy or business? Here is what I am seeing

Everything I have heard from co-workers who have flown Emirates have really enjoyed it! I would be excited about the flight itself ;)

Just as a follow up, my Travel Guard claim process was straightforward. I took time to submit the required documents with a table of contents explaining what it page represented. In 3 weeks I had the check in my hands. They definitely earned my repeat business from now on.

We will be taking our first NCL cruise next March on the Epic out of Barcelona.

We have previous (wonderful) experience with the kids club on Celebrity. Where can I find out all the rules and tips for Splash Academy.

On X, there was a add on package that gave the kids late night access and behind the scenes tour of the ship etc. well worth the money. Is there something similar?

We are considering leaving our 10 and 12 yr old on the ship for 1 port while we do a wine and food tour. We have never left the kids on the ship before so I am just trying to think this through a bit now.

Much to my surprise, the delay report was in my email's inbox this morning. Happy to be aware of the flight aware resource if needed in the future.

Airlines only pick it up if all your legs are on the same reservation. Since I doubt Wow and AA have an interline agreement, there is no way Wow will issue any compensation for missing the AA flight, just like they won't pay for you missing a concert, tour, etc. you may miss.

 

To the OP: You will need to keep pestering Wow to provide the official statement of how much the flight was delayed and why. Maybe you could see if FlightAware still has a record of your flight, but I don't know if TG would accept it.

My first time purchasing travel insurance and I am glad we did.

Background details - We had a series of delays from 1 airline (Wow Air) from London to Boston (stop over in Iceland). This delay caused us to miss our connecting AA flight from Bos to DFW. We ended up having to stay over night in Boston until we could catch a flight home the next morning.

I am seeking reimbursement from Travel Guard (TG)for the hotel and meals related to the missed connection. TG understandably needs proof that the flight from London to Boston was delayed. I contacted Wow Air last week to request a delay report and heard back initially but follow up emails several days later have gone without reply.

Question for you - What type of documentation do you typically submit to TG to substantiate a missed connection?

Just for the record - we had a great flight with Wow and all flights were delayed due to weather that day. It just happened. But I need to get the paper work submitted ASAP.

Another vote for doing it yourself. Our family of 4 spent 4 days in Istanbul and absolutely loved it! English was very prevalent and people were very nice. Avoid cabs if possible, we and other we spoke with encountered several less than honest ones.

Interesting, I would have bet money that RT would have been less costly.

I don't have experience in this area but it's interesting.

Thank you Demonyte! Wondering if the extra $300 is worth it now? We have two young preteens who are at that age where I thought that style bathroom would freak them out a bit.

I know the bathrooms in the balcony cabins have the unique configurations.

My understanding is that the bathrooms in the Family Mini Suites were traditional in that the shower/tub and toilet were together behind walls and a door? I believe the sink maybe outside of the bathroom.

Does anyone have pictures or experience to confirm? I tried googling but I was retrieving all sorts of cabin pictures.
