  1. Received an email couple weeks ago asking for me to do a Web check in ( US Site ) and complete the Covid section on Vaccination. We are fully vaced. I kept getting the same message that I was unable to check in due to not having entered all our information. Even though we are booked through our travel agent for our Meraviglia October 2 booking, I picked up the phone and called MSC. I hit the Yacht line and entered my Diamond Voyagers club number. Got an MSC agent who picked up immediately. Gave my problem and the agent went in and reviewed our information. She had their system email our tickets to her. She then emailed them to me. No worries as that was excellent service . I thanked her for her help . Our boarding time in Miami is 11:00 AM with note that we need to be at the terminal no later than 1 hour after our boarding time. Cheers 🍻

Did the link work for you ?

I got my email for a May 20 cruise , but clicking only gives "This Future Cruise Credit is still being processed. You will receive an email when it is ready. Thank you for your patience."

I got the FCC email last week for our cancelled March sailing saying our FCC was ready but when I hit the “ download “ button to open the FCC certificate get the same message. I booked through an agent but called MSC direct. The rep looked up our account and said the credit was there but I would need to have my agent call. She could not tell me the amount. I Emailed my agent with this news who then called MSC and was told the credit was indeed still being processed. I picked up the phone again and called MSC . This rep gave me the amount and the credit was 125 % of the Yacht Club Suite we had booked in March . The rep said I could book now and to contact my agent.  Emailed my agent yesterday with this news and she suggested I give her a date and she would call MSC and see if she could book us and use the 125% credit.

Waiting for our agent to come back to me.

  3. We were booked on the Seaside for this past Saturday 3/21/20.

We actually canceled a week before MSC canceled our cruise.

Our agent was first told by MSC that her request on our behalf for a FCC was denied because we canceled.

Agent went back and escalated the request with an appeal and advised us to be patient as MSC told her they would review our “ case”.

Really appreciate the professionalism and persistence of our agent.

She sent us this email this morning. As shown the certificate will come in two weeks....

  4. We had a Yacht Club sailing on the Seaside on 3/21/20 out of Miami.

Had our agent cancel the cruise last Friday on got a confirm this past Monday 3/10/20 of the cancellation. With the news of MSC ceasing sailing from Miami I emailed my agent to contact MSC to see if we can take the option of 125% credit for a future sailing.

My agent sent me an email back saying they were working each client one at a time and advised me to be patient. I called MSC direct gave my Voyager’s Black Card ( now Platinum) number, then hit the prompt for Yacht Club sailing and a MSC rep answered within 3 minutes. He was extremely polite and helpful. Looked up our booking number, and saw our booking. He saw our cancellation and called his supervisor.....said we would qualify for the 125% credit but ( as I knew) said because we booked with an agent we need our agent to call......Very Impressed with MSC . Emailed my agent and asked her as I know they are “ slammed “ to please call as I spoke with MSC and can get the credit.  I have cancel for any reason insurance at 75% and want to stop that process . Again MSC is showing good client services .

  5. I have a Yacht Club sailing on the Seaside on March 21 out of Miami.

Was to be our second SS Yacht Club expérience. With the situation now with the Grand Princess off the coast of San Francisco, we decided last night to cancel. Miami also has an Ultimate Music Festival on 3/20 - 3/22 with over 70,000 people from 50 countries around the world . Just don’t feel comfortable. Thank goodness we have a cancel for any reason at 75% of loses. Delta was kind to redeposit my 160,000 points with no penalty for our first class seats. Hilton canceled our hotel reservations on South Beach and redeposited my points . Will look at rebooking later as hopefully things calm down.
Our TA was very helpful........... Cheers and happy sailing !

  6. Also Platinum on NCL and our last 4 cruises have been within the Haven in a Courtyard Penthouse. We enjoyed them all with very good cuisine in the Haven and good service. We are booked in the Seaside YC next month for about $ 2000 less than Haven pricing. Based on reviews we are booked May of 2019 Seaside YC for close to $ 3000 less than on NCL Haven Courtyard. I looked at the NCL Bliss Haven pricing and just laughed .

Looking forward to our Seaside YC experience next month .

  7. Of course there will be children:rolleyes: I cruise with my children as well. But whether it is on a cruise or a restaurant or where ever else, you have to be considerate of others. If your child is having a tantrum do not make other people suffer. It's YOUR child. Take the child outside and take care of YOUR child. Other people have also paid good money to enjoy their holiday and should be allowed to do so.

What is it with this lazy parenting?

    Bravo,

    You are a good parent.

    And respect others .

Thank you for your post !

  8. Reviews from the last few weeks are saying there is a big improvement in the Butler experience on Seaside. Will see for myself in a few weeks. :)

    Agree.

Recent YC Seaside reviews have been Very good.

We as well will know next month . Booked in the Seaside YC May 12th. Last 4 Cruises within NCL Haven.

Looking forward to MSC and the YC !

  9. Wife & I are on the Seaside in the YC in May.Similar questions....

    1. Both of us are Black Card status.....do we get two specialty dinners ?

    2. Are the menus then “ limited “

    3. We have been frequent NCL Haven guests and have used the Haven pre-Concierge to book specially dinning in advance . Does MSC YC have ability to prebook specialty dinning ?

  10. Thanks Paul! I'm a little overwhelmed with the options. I'm used to simple MDR. We will make a point of at least 1 or 2 nights in the haven restaurant. Is it also a good breakfast option? Just with the seemingly endless dining venues, we don't want to feel like we missed a "must have."

Absolutely , the Haven is as well great for breakfast.

Mix it up but I would surely recommend you try the Haven for both lunch and dinner twice. We dine at lunch every day in the Haven while on the ship.

    Cheers

  11. Been in the Haven three times on the Getaway and will be in the Haven in 4 weeks on the Escape.

The Haven restaurant is Far superior for dining , service and ambiance ! We dine 4 times in the specialties and always 3 times in the Haven.

You have a private courtyard pool and killer sun deck with hot tub...no need for the Vibe.

  12. It is a fair question, Like you, we recently took advantage of the match program to get our MSC Black. We then booked a 21 day MSC Cruise in the Yacht Club...through one of our favorite cruise agencies (where we get a generous OBC you will not get from the cruise line) and were surprised that the online pricing did not include the 5% discount. Se we made a quick call to the cru5%ise agency and they told us that there was a software issue with MSC...that simply refused to give the 5% discount...even if you imput a valid MSC Black Code. So our cruise agency put us on hold (while they called MSC) and we had our 5% within a few minutes. We assume that the problem our cruise agency has is similar at some other agencies... This sounds like a software issue...and hopefully it will soon be corrected.

    Hank

We booked in the YC Seaside and had Black match status. The booking did not show the 5% discount.

I called MSC and they said since we booked through a cruise agency ( online agency had 10% cash back ) they said call the agency. I called the agency, they put me on hold as the called MSC.... got the 5% .

  13. Booked the YC for May 2018 on Seaside.

We have sailed 4 times in the Haven on NCL and done 30 plus cruises.

The YC Suite was $ 3000 less for the same week as a Courtyard Penthouse on NCL.

We received Black match status ..... made the choice a Big No Brainer.

Look forward to the MSC experience !

  14. I agree. To each their own.

As we have been regulars on NCL and always stay within the Haven in Courtyard Penthouse suites, we dress smart casual . We have booked our first MSC cruise ( May 2018) in the Yacht Club on the Seaside. May bring a sport coat . My tux and white dinner jacket have been hanging in the closet for years.
