    https://www.marketwatch.com/story/moderna-and-pfizers-covid-19-vaccine-candidates-require-ultra-low-temperatures-raising-questions-about-storage-distribution-2020-08-27

Executives from Moderna and Pfizer on Wednesday separately told the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention’s Advisory Committee on Immunization Practice on Wednesday that mRNA-1273, which is Moderna’s coronavirus vaccine candidate, requires a storage temperature of negative 4 degrees Fahrenheit. BioNTech and Pfizer’s candidates, BN1162b2 and BNT162b2, need to be stored in negative 94 degrees Fahrenheit.

“These storage conditions would make traditional office or pharmacy administration very difficult,” SVB Leerink analysts wrote in a note to investors on Thursday. “These conditions could be met at tertiary hospitals and laboratories and could be accommodated in intensive one-day vaccination events at such sites, but this would still only cover a fraction of the healthy population.”

Just read an article that stated the following:

"Moderna's shot needs to be stored and transported at -4 degrees Fahrenheit and can be kept in a refrigerator below 46 degrees for up to seven days."

The Doctors state it will be a two step vaccine and each need to be given 30 days apart. The actual expect, Dr Fauci says things won't get back to pre-covid until late 2011.

I don't feel comfortable about any vaccine rushed through protocol by politicians and will wait to see if it really works without major side effects.

Johnson & Johnson is in phase 3 of a one dose vaccine. Getting some publicity as most do require two doses. Seems to me I read one other company has a one dose vaccine in trials.

Just waiting to see how long it takes for someone to chime in and say they received an offer without even stepping into the casino.

I received and used a casino offer a couple of years ago. I only stepped into the casino once, and that was for a slot tournament.  Have not gotten anymore casino offers since.

  4. On the Caribbean Princess in August; and I, too, received two big bottles of water. However I was told and given a note that they were redesigning the tumblers and would be getting them in the future. So who knows? I am going out again on the Royal in October and will see if I get the tumbler then or not!

    Pooh

On the Caribbean Princess this week and we got two big bottles of water each. There was a note saying they were temporarily out of the tumblers and they would be delivered later. Also gave us the option to cancel the soda package and get a refund.

  5. When I was in Belize a few years ago we did a shore excursion through Princess and went to Lamanai. It was AMAZING. We still talk about it. Normally we don't book ship excursions, but this one was going to be really tight on time and we were nervous about missing the ship. Now, it is about a 45 minute bus ride to the site, but our guide was telling us all about the history of Belize and pointing out interesting sites on the way there. Then you take a 45 minute speed boat ride down a river. Again, the guides are pointing out different things along the way, and this part is fun as you are going fast and have the wind in your hair. We felt like the time on site was very reasonable, not rushed at all. Again, our guide was fantastic. The site is in the middle of a jungle and it was just beautiful. You can climb to the top of two of the temples, one is much larger than the other and offers STUNNING views. After the tour you are back on the boat. When we got to the dock we had lunch and it was DELICIOUS. Chicken, veggies, plantains (a personal favorite). Then back on the bus to head back to the ship. The ride back was quiet as everyone was pretty beat by this point. Anyway, if your ship offers a trip to Lamanai I would highly recommend it; we had an amazing time!

I know this is the wrong forum, but had to reply.

Just returned to the ship from doing this excursion with Princess, and I agree. Definitely amazing.

  6. They also write down the folio number of those that play the tables. That's how my DH gets those offers once in awhile and it doesn't take a lot of spending at all.

Definitley doesn't take much. Entered and played in one slot tournament and started getting some incredible offers. That is the only time I played in the casino.

  7. Received this email a few hours ago. We are in a balcony cabin on the Baja deck for the 9/1 sailing. We leave a week from today so it will be interesting to see if they actually ship the medallions or if we pick them up at the pier.

We are on a aft balcony on the Baja deck right now, and the medallions were in our cabin when we came back from dinner this evening. From the look of the screens by the doors, all the Baja cabins have them now.

  8. We are onboard right now and agree with most of your review. The fast free internet has been great. Pleasantly surprised on the shape of the ship, after some of the other reviews.

We have a aft balcony cabin, and have noticed more vibration than on previous cruises, but it is not overly bothersome.

  9. There is a $40 monthly plan and there is a daily plan (but only if you use it). Two separate plans. I have Travel Pass on my phone and used it one day in Italy. Charged $10.

There are two plans, but they both may not be available to you. It depends on your current plan with Verizon.

The $10 a day travel plan is not available, if you are on one of the older grandfathered unlimited plans.

  10. I'm not sure these deals have anything to do with one's gambling habits, esp. since several non-gamblers are getting them. I just looked at some of the cruises people have mentioned and I think Princess is having trouble filling the ships involved, probably because people are leery to cruise after all the hurricane damage sustained by the Virgin Islands, Barbuda, Puerto Rico, etc. Thus, they're offering these almost last-minute cruises at a deep discount to get pax who will then hopefully spend money on drinks, the casino, their stores, etc. November is also traditionally one of the "slowest" months in the Caribbean (hence lower fares any year) and this year's 3 hurricanes dried up even some/most of their usual business for that month. Hence, stupendous offers for those who can take advantage of a cruise that leaves in a month or so--i.e. folks who don't need to fly to FFL. I just tried to do a "dummy" RT fr Detroit to FLL. For some reason the site wouldn't let me look at a 11/9-11/16 itinerary (outbound worked, return is where it got hung up). Anyway, the fare pp was over $500 for DTW-FLL outbound flight (I was having trouble with the Delta site, so couldn't look at RT fare or at how many seats were left).

The airlines (at least United) in the Washington DC area were doing great fares to match the Southwest sale. Was able to find air for $49 each way.

  11. right now this Nov 25 5 day cruise says "Interior from $49 pp", but once you click on the "select a room" link, the interior is $349 pp. I think somebody forgot to change the numbers.

I was able to book the $49 interior/$99 balcony and actually came up with mid-aft. You have to actually keep clicking through, and the lower price will show up.

To good a deal to pass up, but they were going fast this afternoon.

  12. To all the people who have received an upsell offer. Are you all past customers or was it a 1st time on Princess for anyone?

Got a email for a upgrade from a balcony to a mini suite for $99 per person on the Majestic. I think we will stick to what we have, as looks like the balcony is smaller than what we currently have on our aft facing cabin. (although the cabin looks larger). We are previous customers.

  13. We found it took a few days to get the credit back.

We called also as we were concerned but they said they saw we cancelled and it would be credited "soon".

We cancelled when our cruise was cut short 2 days. They said the 2 days would be given as OBC and we didn't need more OBC. Was just surprised how quickly the money is taken when purchasing and how long it takes to put back if you cancel [emoji16]

It is amazing how quick a charge shows up, but how long it takes for a credit/return to show up. This seems to be the case almost everywhere. I read a article one time about why this is, but I do not remember the details.

  14. I have a great price for my EZ air. I do not wish to lose that. It is Business class and there are no other seats available on the flight.

I also have a decent price for my cruise.

My cruise has dropped $100. I am sure it will drop again......it is a Transatlantic repositioning.

Can I get the cruise price drop without losing the air fare?

I just changed by booking to a better promotion yesterday, and was able to keep my EZ air booking. Air prices are now higher, so glad I could keep the lower fare. Took all of about two minutes.

  15. I just went through the booking process again, just to double check everything.

On the final page, where you can submit your booking it lists your fare cost, flights and guest information, special meals, etc.

    It also says the following:

Payment for air is not required at this time. Charges will be included with your cruise booking final payment.

Under one of the boxes you must check saying you have read, understood and accept the above conditions:

Prices are not subject to increase, except for charges resulting from increases in government imposed taxes or fees. By selecting this checkbox you expressly acknowledge your acceptance of these conditions. (ie increases attributable to government imposed taxes or fees after full payment) applicable to your purchase.

If you already have a cruise booked, you can get this far without having to book the airfare. If you do not have a cruise booked, yet, it will only show the flights options and costs.
