  1. Sorry for not posting last night! I kept getting Cruise Critic is offline messages.

The beach beds were wonderful. They're very, very comfortable and you get two floating mats, a cooler of 6 1L Evian water, towels, and 3 beach chairs. You're out by the swim up bar too. The zipliners fly over you which is pretty amusing.

For disability cruisers, they have wonderful locals who will push you in a wheelchair to where you want to go. We had a nice, hardworking guy named Stevenson whom we have $10 to. He said he would come back to get us at 2 as I asked how we get help back.He did! The poor guy was so hot, sweating bullets, so we gave him one of the waters we were taking back. He was so appreciative!

I would get the bed again. You're away from crowds and close to a quieter (no line) lunch. You have a waiter come by to check on you every 45 minutes or so.

We had a great dinner at American Icon last night. I had escargot, crab cake for starter. I couldn't resist both. Ahi Tuna for main was huge, I couldn't finish it...yet found room for the Grand Marinier Souffle. That was amazing.

We are at Jamaica. Just going to go shopping then get ready for Prohibition Party tonight!

  2. Hmm, shall we start the speculation on that? I may have skipped that reference. Anyway, thanks for taking the time.

I used to be a popular figure in video gaming, broke ground as being the first female to do some stuff competitively in pro circuit Internet being internet, received credible death threats from upset teen boys about a girl in their video game and Royal takes security seriously :)

Anyway, we saw Oasis of Dreams last night. Fantastic. My God. I want to see it again. We somehow didn't see it three years ago. I won't spoil it but I'll post some pictures tonight on my Instagram.

The ship was wild last night. We went to a PACKED rock-a-rokie in Dazzles. Like.. sitting on stairs packed. These amateur singers could SING. It's karaoke with a live band. I decided against singing my terrible offkey songs, haha. Some people had way too much to drink and there was no security. One girl grinded on the poor keyboard player for two songs. One man in his 50s kept jumping onstage to yell BOOOM into the mic any chance he could. It was a people watching highlight.

Today we have the full day beach bed rental in Labadee. I'm pretty excited for it! We get a bed with two towels, two floating mats, a cooler of Evian water, and a waiter. We are bringing sun tan lotion so our pale Canadian skin can not be so white. That's the dream, anyway.

We just arrived to Labadee! Announcement was just made. Time to get out of PJs and get some sun.

  3. Currently at the guacamole class and am pretty disappointed. :( Only two participate while the rest of us sit far away. Some on table had no vision at all of the instructor or demo.

There was a party at Aquatheatre that was at full volume on speakers with music and we were unable to hear any of the lesson as it overpowered her.

We do get free chips and salsa and a margarita, however.

This is a skip thing. I'd rather be at the pool. Too bad they didn't organize it better. But hey, we are still on the ocean and it's still better than a day at home!

Speaking of home... My younger sister just texted me to say my kitten somehow is in the ceiling... Eek. I leave home for two days, people, lol

  4. Could you let us know if you get your sea pass at check in or if they are at the cabins? We know Oasis now has individual set sail passes for each guest, but no one has confirmed whether sea pass cards are now at the cabins as they are on other ships. Thanks.

I can't comment on that as I had a private escort onto the ship because of my career. As far as I know, everyone had their cards at check in.

  5. Wow so 150 Central Park is everything and a bag of chips. It's beautiful inside, calming, and a nice refuge from the rush of a cruise ship on it's first day.

So one of the coolest things they did was give you unsalted butter from Germany, accompaigned by home made breads and six kinds of flavoured salts from around the world. You add the salt to the butter you put on your bread and sample them all. Delicious and a pretty innovative idea.

I had the lobster gnocci as a starter which was amazing. I would eat it everyday for the rest of my life.

We shared the beef tenderloin for two. It comes as a tableside service and I highly recommend it. I'm not a beef person but it was like velvet and melted in my mouth.

Our waiter continued to fill up our wine glasses even though we were full. I mentioned how the cheese they has looked amazing and he wrapped up a cheese plate for us. Wow!

Only bad thing was the push to buy specialty dining plan.

Now... Cats I really wanted to give a chance to. I know how much negativity CC gives it and I thought it was fussy people. The dancing was great and the stage was pretty cool... But we ducked out at intermission ad it just wasn't our thing. I really wanted it to be our thing. It just made no sense and that's not on the performers... They're great.

We spent the rest of the night in the casino donating from me on roulette. Service was terrible though, no drink orders at our table for almost 1 hour. The other players got pretty mad about that. Almost as mad as this old Greek man who blew $900....

  6. Currently on our way on the bus to the port! We will be there in 45 minutes. It's happening!!!

We spent three night walking around Disney Springs. Its so beautiful there! I just had to go straight to the Marvel store and get a Captain America hoodie. We walked around until midnight then came back to get some sleep... But we were both up every hour asking if it was time yet. Oooops

  7. Hey everyone!

It's my first time doing a live thread. We are currently in the Ottawa airport waiting for our flight to Toronto Pearson - then Orlando! Staying overnight tonight and we have a transfer to terminal tomorrow morning.

It's just me and my Mom. I surprised her on Mother's Day with our first ever balcony room. We will be in Central Park and I got the deluxe beverage package for the first time.

Pretty excited! I'll also be on Instagram for a lot of the cruise. I'll post the link once we get onboard :)

Any questions or anything you want to know just ask and I'll do my best to check it out.

We have My Time Dining and First Night Done Right. We are booked for Cat's day 1!

  8. It is hard to fight based upon the cruise contract. The claim must be filed in Federal Court in Southern Florida and the contract has a agreement not to go the class action route. Can these things be broken by a skilled lawyer? Yes sometimes but it is hard and will be costly. Far more than the amount of money lost. So the legal route through the courts is not the first choice.

You do have one very easy route and the cruise contract is not all powerful this way. You can file a credit card dispute with your card provider for the amount not return,. With the credit card company you can make the claim about the port change. You can claim false advertising and or the other issues you raise. The big difference is the credit card merchant agreement has first standing over the cruise contract. No need to involve a lawyer and if it does not work you can still go the lawyer route.

Royal does not hold all the power with credit card disputes. In fact if anything the card providers are pro consumer if the issues are close. Now I'm sure some members here will post information like Royal can ban you, etc. Which is absolutely false part of the merchant agreement is that the merchant (Royal) agrees to accept whatever ruling they make. And that the merchant will take no retaliation actions against the customer. Doing so is a direct violation of the use terms and is subject to the merchant being banned from processing credit card payments. If anything once you file a dispute the merchant will be extra nice as they do not want to cross the line.

    LOL

Once again, like every single one of your posts, you are incorrect. Merchants can ban people from their services. Stop pretending to be a lawyer - you're very, very bad at it.

  9. Studies show that over 90% of the people that get the recommendation from their doctor are misdiagnosed it is just an easy way out for the doctors to suggest something!

Same for Celiac – that thing is something that came into fashion the last few years and most people that think they have it ....do not – again over 90% are misdiagnosed as there is no harm in doing GF - but it is not the real cause of their problems!

Hope RCI starts charging extra for all the special diets soon – to keep the fares down for everybody else! (y)

I hope I never have to cruise with you, what a miserable person. I hope cruise lines charge extra just for you to go, Hendrik.

Proof of that or are you making up numbers to boost your little ego?

3 million Americans have Celiac Disease (Forbes Magazine). That's not fake. What's fake is you thinking you're edgy.

  10. Do not demonise me as a con artist when you do not know me. Actually I am first to accept my own errors, but in this case I am asking for some common sense. Where was the benefit to me in missing the cruise, even if I had been capable of attending doctor's surgery, they would still have had to accept 'my word' or dismiss it without proof.

I didn't say you were a con artist, don't put words in my mouth. Your GP could have gotten into MAJOR trouble for lying. Go ahead and get him in trouble if you continue this.

I just feel you need to do some self reflection for the real problem here.
