Glad it helped.  I've also heard from two other cabins that received similar refunds once they asked for them. 

I still don't understand why Princess misled us on the problem and didn't offer refunds to every cabin without AC. 

I plan to write to corporate and will post their response here.

I can't picture any compensation to make me stay in a cabin above 75 at all ever. 

It was refundable and covered more than the cost of 1 day of the cruise + drinks.  The loyalty they lost can't be bought however.

My cabin was 89f at 3pm yesterday. We called Guest Services and they were very non-challant about it saying the AC was turned off for routine maintenance and would be back on shortly. Who does routine maint in the middle of the day?
At 5pm it was still 89 so we headed to the elite lounge to cool off. We ran into an officer in the corridor so I told him this might be the worst cruise I've been on and he responded with, "have a good day". I was speechless.
At 6:30pm the temp was down to 88.
At 11pm the temp was down to 78 so we called it a night. Within 10 minutes of entering our cabin, Guest Services called to apologize and to offer reasonable compensation - we accepted.
At 8am this morning the temp was 75 - a number we can live with. I had decided not to post this experience when I learned that only those passengers that complained are being compensated.
It is obvious to me that Princess has lost touch with their base and they don't seem that interested in getting it back. Had we been told up front of what was happening we would have adjusted and most of this could have been avoided. Come Back Angry.

I just did this last week.  Emailed help@cruisecritic.com and it was done overnight.

Thanks but that isn't really a permanent fix since you would then need to re adjust every site you go to.  They should just follow the W3 standards for Light and Contrast Sensitivity or allow adjustments be made and stored in the user profile. 

That was the point you were trying to make? It doesn't make any sense. One thing negatively impacts someone else directly, the other has no impact on anyone. I thought you were making a point by not using the service and food you paid for already

The entire dress up issue has little to do with food.

What was your point? Seems limiting

"I'm the center of the universe". Kind of like trying to justify eating while standing in the buffet line...or forcing your way into the elevator before people have a chance to exit...etc,. It's all about me.

Now that's ridiculous.

We like to dress up for dinner. My husband rents a tux from the ship so he doesn’t have to pack a suit. I wear an evening gown on formal nights. We just took four kids from 20-26 with us on a cruise. They all dressed up every night and actually really enjoyed dinner. I wore a dress every night for dinner. I know people say they don’t like to dress up on vacation. Then don’t go the the MDR. Why does the ship need to stop enforcing their dress code for them? They have other options.

I wish we had a huge "LIKE" button. I'm with you on this and I really don't understand the "I'm the center of the universe" attitude these days. On a cruise last week, my wife and I decided the first night not to dress up for the rest of the cruise so we didn't go to the MDR out of respect for those that did dress up.

Nicely done. I stopped buying the drink packages because it seems to have a direct correlation with the number of bartenders on duty. More drink packages sold = fewer bartenders on duty.

I received the survey this morning and selected the strongest "KEEP FORMAL NIGHT" option for each question. Why? If you don't like formal night there a lot of options for you. If you want a formal night, you are limited...unless you don't mind having pizza while sitting next to a guy wearing a tank top...the same tank top he wore to breakfast...yesterday:)

My wife and I both receive the OBC - thanks Princess. Mine occasionally disappears but a quick call gets it back. My wife's is always there - maybe she's messin' with me?
