Hi all! I work for Safeway as a Front End Manager, and one of the things I'm in charge of is the gift cards. I had the same issue when I tried to purchase a $25-500 card for $200. You get charged, but the card is not activated/loaded. When Carnival changed the amounts to $100-500, the gift card vendor de-activated the old cards, so they no longer work. Unfortunately, that information doesn't always work it's way down to the store/employee level. When I discovered this the hard way (LOL), I made sure to pull and dispose of all the old cards. So the best advice I can offer, is if you see Carnival cards with the $25-500 amount, do not try to buy them, and ask if they have the $100-500 cards.

Just got off the Imagination on 2/3, and played enough in the casino to get a free cruise offer! I was able to book the Miracle on 3/5, obstructed view french-door for the offer, but since I had the time available, I just booked the 2/27 Miracle cruise! Different cabins, but exact same location, one deck apart. I'm actually going solo this time, and am really excited for this. While not new to cruising, this is my first B2B... I did search some of the threads, but wanted to see if anyone has done a B2B out of Long Beach and knows how the process works!

Hi everyone! Was wondering if anyone else was on this cruise? Partner can't go due to work, so it's just me this time.

We sailed on Carnival to Alaska last September 2014 and it was awesome; our review is attached below for additional info.
We were also on this cruise with the Captain, although I don't recall meeting him, and it was AWESOME!!!! His review was spot-on, so I suggest reading it. I would say that the Alaska cruise was a bit more laid-back from a typical Carnival cruise, but we had a great time, and would do Carnival to Alaska again in a heartbeat!

Not sure if anyone here is familiar with "Where's George", but it's a website that you can track U.S. currency as it travels. So I always tip extra in cash, stamped with the "Where's George" information and note on the website that it was spent on the cruise. Whenever someone else finds the bill, and enters it on the website, I make a donation to the local animal shelter, so this way the crew get something they need, as well as dogs and cats that are waiting for their fur-ever homes.....

Yeah, just what JLee1973 said.... Cabo was great, but PV was hot AND humid... even the locals were commenting on how hot it was for this time of year.
I have all of them just haven't had time to scan them.Weather in Mexico, Cabo was beautiful PV was ungodly hot.

For the Light Rail, they have transit police that will randomly board the trains and ask for proof of payment (single ride/day pass/weekly or monthly pass). If you don't have a valid ticket, they will have you get off at the next stop with them and you'll get a much more expensive ticket.
