  1. I had my bathrobe taken from inside the spa when I was in the sauna last week on Virtuosa. It was hanging on the hook outside the sauna. I asked at the spa reception and they gave me a replacement.

    Learned my lesson and put my new bathrobe in the lockers they supply in changing rooms.

  2. We have a check in time of 17:00 that was given to us initially and has never changed. However we are Aurea experience that is supposed the be Priority boarding. Doesn’t seem to be very priority to me. If we turn up earlier than 17:00 will we be able to board or be told to wait?

    Appreciate this will only be from other passengers previous experience.

    Thanks

  3. Hello

    We are new to MSC as well. We have booked for a cruise in October from Southampton in an Aurea cabin which I understand is priority boarding. However we have been allocated a time of 17:00 which doesn’t seem very priority to me! Can I arrive earlier than that and get onboard?

    Thank you in advance for any replies.

  4. Useful answers on here thank you. Can I just check that it is ok for me to have the boarding pass for myself and my partner on the app on my phone. Or should we each have the app on our phone and have our own boarding passes.

    My partner does have a phone but does not like using the wallet on her phone.

    Many thanks

  5. Thanks OskarNZ that’s really useful. Both cruises are on Celebrity and the ports that both cruises visit are Auckland Perth Sydney Adelaide and Tauranga. We are from the UK.

    From what you are saying it seems both cruises seem excellent but as my better half has a liking for anything Art Deco then Napier might just hold the advantage!

  6. Hi

    We have a choice of cruises in February next year and they both appeal. I just wondered if the more experienced cruisers to Australia & NZ would recommend one cruise above another. We havent been to that part of the world before but I realise its subjective and everybody is different I am just looking for peoples experiences that's all to help us make a decision.

    I haven't listed the ports applicable to both cruises just the different ports.

    Cruise 1. Napier, Picton, Wellington, & Hobart.

    Cruise 2. Esperence, Melbourne, Milford/Doubtful & Dusky Sounds, & Dunedin.

    We are not overly keen on organised tours and just like getting off walking around to see what we can find from an architectural point of view.

    Thanks all

  7. Thanks for all the replies everybody. I think we will leave this cruise for now and see if any deals come up. I have been reviewing other cruises and contemplating the transatlantic in October 16. But they don't seem to offer a drinks package although almost every other Caribbean cruise does get offered. I guess its because there are six straight sea days!

    Has anybody completed the transatlantic cruise and is it worth it or do you get stir-crazy having six sea days?

    Sorry for questions but as you can guess I am in planning mode but not getting very far! :)

  8. I was looking to book a cruise for Sept 16 on the Eclipse. The price quoted by the Celebrity website is £7500 for an aqua cabin for two for a cruise to the Western Med. And that is supposedly with one guest travelling half price!!

    We went to the Baltic on Eclipse this year and it only cost us £5400 for an aqua cabin, classic drinks included and $300 spend.

    Anybody else getting silly quotes? :(

  9. Hi all

    We booked a cruise to the Baltic in November last year for July this year. I checked the new 5 day sale to compare the costs and under the new offer it was £786 cheaper. The benefits under the original booking were:

    * Classic drinks package

    * Tips paid

    * OBC of $300.

    For the sale offer:

    * Classic drinks package

    * OBC $400.

    I rang this morning to ask for a reduction in fare and was told I could book a new cruise at the new price with the new benefits but would lose my deposit on the old cruise. Of course I did that (in the same cabin) because I am better off but I am annoyed at losing my original deposit.

    Have any other cruisers suffered this and is there anything I can do?
