  1. Beth when will you be in Grenada. We are on Royal Princess and just booked 3 spots on JnJ Tour March 28, 2016. The reviews I have read have been mostly positive. He emailed me yesterday and it sounds like it is only my family booked so far.

Hi! We will also be there on March 28. Can you guys share the info you have regarding the tour you are doing with JNJ? Do you know if there is room for 2 more?

  2. Hope this helps we just return from the 2/20/16 Adventure the seas cruise. we booked JnJ because several on our thread found or knew of them. we arrive in port just like the directions say walk thru the pier to the building saw the person holding the sign JnJ walk up it was Stanley he took our name said we waiting for people. fyi if haven't used the restroom it costs a $1.00 to use ask Stanley where the free restroom's are . we walked over to van nice/new van it was only 6 of us so lots of room. as were driving to 1st stop he is explaining the island and history to us, pointing out the cocoa trees or other plants/trees. our 1st stop was the waterfalls and rain forest. he was explaining this and that, that our 6 people grew to about 20 people . once we reach the waterfalls they have 4-5 guys jumping off the cliff into the water please tip them as on the way down they will yell your name and tell you to get ready for pictures. walked back to the van i bought a beverage from the vendors after i bought it Stanley told me he has what we need in the back of van for drinks in an ice chest. On to the next stop which was a spice store on the side of the road. from there we went to the national park which was very nice not sure of the name sorry. our next place was the fort which protected the island from the enemies where you could see in all the directions. very nice to get photos. we now were thru with the tour however on way back to the beach we drop 2 people off in town they had another tour @ 1230. Stanley took us to the beach can't remember the name if you want chairs/shade he will get some people to sell you the stuff for $20.00. he ask us how long we wanted to stay we settle on 1 hour so as the walk around the town a little before getting back on ship. about an hour later he was waiting in the parking lot and took us back to the ship. the total cost is $50.00 per we would do again if ever back you will not be disappointed with JnJ. i hope the link works if it doesn't let me know i could email you the pictures.

  3. I contacted Jose at the tour company and he indicated I have to book thru RC for the tour. The only time available is 6:00 pm which means the sun will have gone down and we can't go into the Fort after 4:30 so "other stops" are substituted. Any feedback on if the tour would still be worth doing in the dark with no Fort visit?

not sure if this helps we did this tour a couple of years ago. it was very good had never done a segway before was very fun. we did an afternoon if it's the same company. we did ours post cruise is it the one by ole san juan at the old port docks? if possible i would call back and say you staying at a hotel to do an earlier tour it was alot of fun. take a bus or cab down to ole san juan, riding down the streets and seeing the sites we had done the fort tour before this tour so it was kindof repeating but still we learned some things we didn't know. good luck

  4. I just did a post on my blog about our half day sail with Fury Charters. It was a great tour that we were able to walk to our pickup point from the cruise ship. We were able to swim with the turtles and see plenty of fish. Captain Mike was great to deal with and we still had the afternoon to enjoy St Thomas.

  5. Hello!

Has anyone taken the Segway Tour in San Juan recently? I've found some reviews, but none that are current.

    Thanks!--CeleBrat

yes we did the San Juan Segway in Feb very nice easy to learn to ride. we did the 3 hour tour i think anyway we went down the pier and out for a tour of the fort. i have pictures i could send you if you like. the tour guide gives a demo and lets you ride around the office for a bit. then we all take off like little ducks following each other. we stop and she points out different tourist attractions and such. anyway hopes this helps

  6. We are staying at La Concha. Can anyone tell me of restaurants and things to do within walking distance of this resort??

we stayed at the La Concha in Feb pre cruise, lots to do around the hotel several eating spots near by, beach right outside of resort. there was a little bar right across the street(sorry no name) hole in the wall place the food look better than the breakfast we had in the hotel. :) lots of locals would come in its an open air place had a couple of drinks walk back across the street to get a taxi to pier. other places also on the same street sorry didn't find out about them till the day we were leaving and walk around the blocks killing time. hope this helps a little
