Bill & Mary Ann,
I have once again enjoyed following your travels each day. In fact they inspired me to book a cruise- our first in about 3 years. We leave for a Baltic cruise on Saturday! You are such a good writer and capture the essence of the places you visit for us!

I’ve so enjoyed reading of your adventures each day. It helped pass the Colorado winter days! You are such a good writer! Thanks for all your work!

Enjoyed following your travels again this year. You write so well—I looked forward each morning to having a cup of tea and reading about where you were. Thanks for all the posts.

Well, JanetDeV, I think you had some good points. I was also on that sailing of the Eurodam, and broke a bone in my foot, when I was thrown into the wall while I tried to make my way to the bathroom about 5 a.m. that morning during the storm. I've been in an orthopedic boot since getting home, and am hoping the break is going to heal without surgery. I've been on a many other cruises, and in one other bad storm, and know these things happen, but yes, I too wish the captain could have avoided sailing through that. Since the next day was a day at sea you do wonder if there were other alternatives, like making up time the next day, or skipping a port.

We're in Westminster. Hope you have a wonderful cruise--let us know how you like it. I thought Avalon did a good job.

We were on the Avalon Affinity, sailing May 7, 2015 from Amsterdam to Basel. I thought the bed was very comfortable, and I'm a little fussy about beds. There was no top sheet--just a duvet, but if you ask they happily make up the bed with one. The chair at the desk at the foot of the bed was a little bit in the way, but not a big deal. Bathroom was fine, and shower was bigger than ocean-going cruise ships I have been on. We had a great cruise, staff was great and I enjoyed all the ports. Heidleberg was a great stop. Enjoy!

We are just back from a Baltic cruise. We used Alla tours in St. Petersburg. We did a private tour because I have some mobility issues. We couldn’t have been happier and it was worth every penny-our guide was wonderful & spoke great English. Alla tours replied to all my emails ( of which there were many, because I had a lot of questions) very promptly. Also used them to go to the Ballet one evening.
