  1. its pretty common for us to be "pitied" for not having kids. its that whole "child free" vs "childless". its a choice for us, and one we couldnt be happier with.

You're not the only ones who chose not to have children. We have no regrets.

My only comment to this thread is that cruising "when school is in session" is now a joke. Out here we have tons of charter schools that do not follow the September-June school is in session schedule. One of my friends has a child that goes to school nine weeks on and six weeks off year round.

  2. My sister the psychiatrist nurse said that after a while, people expect you to hold the Kleenex while they blow their nose. That's the feeling I get reading some reviews. Be grateful you can take that many cruises, and if you're starting to nitpick, I'll be happy to take the cruise for you so you can stay home and not have to put up with (fill in the blanks).

  3. Another Phoenix story, we decided to fly in the day of our cruise, flight leaving around 9 a.m., one hour flight to San Diego, short drive from airport to port, no problem; right? Except for the fact the Phoenix airport was at ground stop that morning for all incoming and outgoing flights due to fog.

After a couple of hours, the fog lifted and we were put on a later flight and (whew) made our cruise. We no longer take that chance and we fly in the day before no matter what port the ship is leaving from.
