  1. I was so hoping the 7 day west med cruises were going to be on a smaller ship like Serenade or Rhapsody or Brilliance class. I don't know anything about Quatum class ships - I've been afraid I couldn't afford them so I held off reviewing them!

    :(

So we are huge fans of the corner afts - don't mind the walk but love the views. We like the D1 expanded balcony on Oasis class (but we don't care for boardwalk or central park balconies). What are the best balcony rooms on Harmony so I can book my west med cruise??? Since they just opened them for booking maybe I'll have a better chance getting a great room!

    Really appreciate your help here.:)

  2. Are you kidding?

I had it in my notes to buy but now I am thinking "NOT".

We love the quavaberry coladas!!! They are YUMMY!! The offer free samples when you go to the store.

    Here is the website: http://www.guavaberry.com

I thought we were out but this thread prompted me to check. Hmmm...guess what we'll be having this weekend :D

BTW: Guavaberry is made in St Maarten, not St. Thomas.

  3. On ships with a Diamond Lounge, you will receive the same drinks as you would in the Concierge Lounge.

On ships with a Diamond Event, then only wine, champagne and soft drinks are complimentary with all other drinks at 25% off their normal price.

Those ships yet to have a Diamond Lounge added are Navigator, Adventure, Voyager, Explorer and Jewel.

Cruisinfever, thanks for my answering newbie Diamond questions! Just one more question :o

If the drinks served in the DL are like the ones served in the CL, can you tell us what kind of drinks are served in the CL? Some of my favorites are Mojitos, rum/coke, gin/tonic, and Baileys... :D I love wine but, unfortunately, not the kind offered during the Diamond Events.

  4. Our last few cruises were on ships with "Diamond Events" or we were traveling with non-Diamond family members so we did not visit the Diamond lounge. I agree with previous posters that the "Diamond Events" were...well, not so great. Don't want to appear ungrateful :o

We have a cruise on the Oasis in the next few weeks, and this time it is just the two of us. As Diamond members, what kind of drinks can we order in the Diamond lounge? Is there a limited menu or can we order anything off the bar menu? Does it include beer? Are the free drinks mentioned previously only available during certain hours like the "Diamond Event?"

    Thanks!

  5. Thanks so much for your reviews! They were wonderful!! I, too, have spent the last several lunchtimes at work and evenings at home reading your wonderful reviews. I lived in Spain and Italy as a teenager (Navy brat) and would love to go on a med cruise and experience Europe as an adult.

I must say that there is a danger that you will not get any price drops if you announce your next cruise - the ship will fill up immediately and there will be no empty rooms to discount! RCI owes you for all the Med and Freedom cruises that have been booked since you posted your reviews!!:)

P.S. '62 was a good year  I'll be celebrating with a cruise too!

  6. I don't know if a aft balcony cabin list has been posted for Freedom before, but I put one together this morning so thought I would share it with you all. Feel free to use it as you wish.

Love this picture with the room numbers! How nice!

Our family members are booked in both 7408 and 7708 corner aft's for the Nov 25 cruise. Yeah! And yes, we booked a long time ago :D

There is a recent review in the CC Member Review for Freedom from someone who stayed in, I believe, 6414, a family suite, who was very disappointed that she could not look down from the balcony to see water below. I've been in the aft on several cruises but not the Freedom class. Has anyone who stayed in my rooms or higher not been able to look below to see the water wake?

I, too, would be most disappointed if I could not look down to see the water wake, the flying fish, and everything that goes with looking directly below. Even with the metal beams on Radiance and Voyager class, as long as we were 7th floor and higher, we were able to look down at the water.
