  1. I think you can pay for the insurance prior to final payment so that may cover pre-existing conditions (there is a 60 day look back period).  My question is if I add and pay for it before final payment due date, and then cancel the cruise prior to the final payment date, will the insurance also be refunded?

      Thanks!

  2. We are on Edge class for the first time and loving it!  Our dinner at Eden was so good that we’ve booked a second dinner there!  We also have a reservation at Rooftop Garden grill for dinner….if it’s raining or too windy, does anyone know if they cancel and refund?  Thanks so much!

  3. Thanks so much for your thoughts!  I just made the reservations... was able to use some OBC and the remainder for the other couple to a credit card.  We're all set for Eden!  Can't wait as I've heard great reviews!  Any thoughts on the other specialty restaurants on Edge or perhaps I should try to make another Eden reservation?

  4. I'd like to book Eden and dine with another couple; so there would be 4 of us.   Do I have to book their reservation to make sure that we dine together?  If so, I will be charged for that or it will come out of my onboard credit.  Or is there a number that I can call?  Or do they need to book their own and somehow we can be cross-referenced?  Thanks so much!

  5. We cancelled our Feb. 5th cruise on January 5th.  After waiting two months, I called and was told the FCCs were not yet created, but they would expedite them.  Another month, I called again and was told that they were in process and to call back in a couple of weeks.  So, I did and voila!  I got through to an agent within 4 minutes, but the agent had to call Resolutions to get the FCC information and I was on hold for over an hour.  But, got it done!  It took almost 3 months to get the FCCs; but I have already applied them to a new reservation!

We’ve just done a lift and shift from Infinity (12th Oct) to Edge (14th Oct). We’re disappointed not to be visiting the ports of our choice but accept that at least we can still cruise. However there was no select dining available so we’ve been assigned to traditional dining. Could anyone who has been on Edge before please explain how this works. Are we stuck in the same dining room every night with repeated menus? What’s the chance of being able to dine elsewhere other than the buffet or pay venues?

  7. I contacted Celebrity to see if the new Loyalty promo could be applied to my reservation. We're in a sky suite.  I was told that if the promo is applied, I will lose our complimentary streaming wifi, premium beverage package, prepaid gratuities and $600 onboard credit.  I thought that suites included the Retreat as well as the "always included" perks.  I plan to call back to see if I get a different answer; but thought I'd check here first to see if anyone has had a experience with this... or knows the answer.  Thanks!

  8. Update:  I finally got through at 4 hours 45 minutes.  Had another issue this morning, so called at 8 AM and was on hold for an hour.  A few days ago, I called at 8 AM and got through in 5 minutes.

  9. I've been on hold now for 4 hours 15 minutes.  Yes, I am patient.. sort of!  I know that you may get quicker response first thing in the morning or very late at night.  But I needed to get a resolution and thought I'd try... I am still on hold.  I know they're busy , but really?  over 4 hours?

  10. We’re currently onboard Reflection and love our sky suite.  We are on deck 12. Love the larger room... lots of storage space. Luminae has been awesome!   This is our first sky suite experience; we have cruised Aqua class many times.... love Aqua, but it will now be  difficult to go back!  To upgrade for $400 total is a deal!

We've booked it for our upcoming Avalon cruise:classic_biggrin:....would you please post details, e.g. highlights, lunch venue and menu, bus ride comfort, etc.  Thanks!

Just want to say that we cruised with you on the British Isles cruise on Silhouette and again on the Summit last year to Canada/New England!  Hope you're doing well!  Bubbles (Pat) and Ken

  12. We returned from Avalon's Blue Danube Discovery on Envision on September 20th.  We loved everything about this trip!  Some of our friends, along with 6 other bikers from the ship, biked from Durnstein to Melk, where they rejoined the ship.  They said it was about a 2-2 1/2 hour bike ride.  The ship packed lunches to go and they really enjoyed it.  There were probably 10 or so bikes onboard.  The onboard Adventure Host was a great resource to those interested in biking or more active excursions that included hiking, etc.  Our Cruise Director, Maria Pascual, was absolutely awesome!

As far as Cesky Krumlov, we did that excursion and it was a beautiful day.  We had originally planned to wander on our own in Passau.  However, the ship dropped those on excursions to Salzburg and Cesky Krumlov off at 8 AM during a "technical stop" and the ship continued on to Passau, arriving there at 2 PM.  So, we opted for the day excursion to Cesky Krumlov.  Cesky Krumlov was about an hour and half bus ride through some scenic countryside.  The bus was comfortable.  Our local guide was excellent!  Note that buses park just outside of the castle area.  The castle and gardens are beautiful., as is the Church of St. Vitus.  Jewelry shops (I purchased a Czech garnet pendant), boutiques (I purchased a handmade Czech marionnette), and cafes adorn the cobblestone alleyways.  We enjoyed a traditional Czech lunch with delicious Czech beer in Cvejk Restaurant.  (Another recommended restaurant was Papa's). I will say that Cesky Krumlov was filled with tourists on the September day that we visited.  It is, however, a photographer's dream.  I'm working on my review that I will post in a few days.

    You will love this cruise!

  13. I'm a wine lover; but I will most definitely try the Czech beer!  I'm also a foodie, so love to try regional specialties!  Any particular suggestions as to restaurants or foods to try in Prague?  We'll be staying at the Prague Hilton, Avalon's hotel for our cruise.  Hoping Hurricane Dorian doesn't delay our flight plans out next week!
