Fairly casual. Some were a bit more dressed up, but women mostly had summery dresses on. Men mostly in jeans/khaki shorts and polos.

I think you could get away with being as dressed up as you like or pretty casual.

We did the same excursion last week and loved it. This was our favorite day of the cruise!

We too just got off the Escape today. I actually preferred the "code red" model of staff handling the food and was wish that they kept it up longer. It was our first NCL and we are looking forward to the next ine. I did get sick after one meal (Taste) I think that it was The dessert. I don't think that anyone had a Noro Virus problem.

We just got off the Escape yesterday and LOVED Manhattan! Taste and Savor were fine, but the live entertainment in Manhattan was great! The food was just as delicious as the specialty restaurants too.

Good morning all!

We booked the Escape through a travel agent for October and booked our own flights through FLL.

I have transportation booked for us to the port on embarkation day, but would like to book a transfer back to FLL through NCL.

Can I do that before boarding? It's been so long since we booked a transfer through the cruise line that I can't remember how we did it!

Did you get the double on board credit currently offered under NCL's Double Dash 72 hour sale which started yesterday? I got an email yesterday from a web TA which offered to double the OBC offered by NCL. Top suite on the ship booked with NCL= $500 OBC. Booked with the TA, OBC= $1,000. IMO, that would be well worth transferring the res!

 

If you are not past final payment, you could just cancel your current res and then book with the TA. In general, you have 60 days to request transfer as long as you are not past final payment or paid in full.

I really think most people just don't understand how economical a cruise vacation can really be if you are already planning on an island vacation. I mean, where could you go in the caribbean for a week for the same price? Unless you stay at a dump. Airfare alone would be more than the cruise cost for some islands!
