So, what I am getting out of your post is that your thorough research was reading their website. If so, lesson learned. If not, sux you had a bad time

We were there in Sept and there was nothing roped off. Heading back in 2 weeks, so I will try to remember to report back to this thread

Are the stateroom numbers exactly the same on Pearl and Jade?

We just got off the Pride this Sunday (4/16), too!
In Red Frog, they had the Alterr Band. We really enjoyed listening to them- anything 70s and 80s, especially the Eagles was done very nicely. My goofy 12 year old requested "Band on the Run". Despite the fact that they hadn't played that song since the early 80s and the band had formed only in 2015- they pulled it off. We had late dining and took to going to Red Frog around 6:30 or 7, had whatever the drink special was (good bartender, Dewa), and then went to dinner.
There was also a really good lounge duo, Serene & Coco (Coco & Serene?) that was in Alchemy a couple of times and the atrium. They sang some 80s pop hits lounge style along with general lounge songs.
We don't really care for any of the shows unless it's something like a comedian or musician so we don't go to them.
I scanned ALL of the stuff we picked up-- Funtimes, Circle C, and random letters delivered to our cabin. Here's the link: https://goo.gl/tgesyY
Thanks for all this info - we leave on the Pride THIS Sunday, so this gives me more information to cling to until then

This topic is discussed almost daily here so here are some threads with a plethora of suggestions...
Thanks Lido - although we no longer need anything to do since we know only have a short wait until our flight
-
Just updating my thread - we ended up finding a JetBlue 1:45pm flight home, so no longer need to find anything to do post-cruise. We can relax on the last morning, and take a shuttle back to FLL
-
Cruise lines offer a variety of post cruise tours - see Miami Beach/South Beach, homes of the stars, hop on/off, etc.; luggage goes under the bus and they tend to drop you at the airport about 1:00 or so. Not sure any of these would help you with an 8:00PM flight.
Yeah, didn't really see anything on the NCL site that grabbed my attention, plus I still knew we would get to the airport too early. We will most likely just book the day pass to get us back to the FLL area, and give us more freedom to do what we want that day
-
Curious - what is the excursion that you booked that will take you back to FLL afterwards?
Good choice! That is what I wanted to do, but the hubby won that argument! Lol! -
Thinking about the $59.99 day pass to Rodeway Inn near FLL. Would give us the basics - room for the day to store our luggage, and then we can just Uber to where ever we want to go. Nice and close to FLL so we're not rushing around later in the day. The fact that it is "just" a Rodeway Inn doesn't bother me so much since I don't plan on sleeping there.

So, I have booked a 4-day Norwegian Pearl cruise out of MIA. We return to port on Sunday 1/29, and our return flight (most likely from FLL, but possibly MIA; this has not been booked yet) will most likely not be until around 8pm. Does anyone have any suggestions of things we could possibly do during the day on Sunday?
Only thing I have no interest in is renting a car.
I have seen some info about a place in South Beach that would store our luggage during the day if we decided to stay in the Miami area.
I probably would prefer to find some place closer to FLL, such a day pass to a hotel or resort.
Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

The vehicles and lots are cleaned by the port staff. You should come home to a clean car, ready to go.
If so, that is pretty cool and amazing.

With all of your negativity it seems you need a drink
It was a scarcastic joke - relax. You don't see the irony of going on a cruise to a warm place and coming home to feet of snow?
-
LOL - I am looking forward to seeing your posts after you get back and have 1-2 feet of snow to clear from your car before you can even get out of the port? I would suggest you continue drinking heavily

Great review with lots of helpful information. Been seeing some great prices for 4-day cruises and have been thinking of booking for a nice little winter getaway in early February

I thought the same thing for the 5/19 sailing, but if you click "View or Change Location" on the Guest Info page when making a reservation, you can search for specific cabins. I typed in a few and all were available. I assume that Royal Caribbean is trying to get rid of the obstructed cabins, but at least for my sailing, there are more/slightly hidden options.
Thank you - I hadn't even noticed that option. I've now entered a few room numbers and see more availability. This seems like such a great deal for me and my family (we are going to scrunch into an OV room with 2 pullman beds)
-
I am only seeing obstructed OV rooms left for the 5/14 sailing - nothin unobstructed possibly left already?
-
Savmom9801 - I saw you bowed out of the roll call. However, I also saw that you were thinking of coordinating/organizing the Cozumel Bar Crawl. This type of excursion seems perfect for wife and I; and if you're coordinating, we'd love to be included. We're just two people who love beach bars; and the ones on this excursion sound like fun

Glad I read this thread - I had booked the Hilton Marina for the night before my 12/13 cruise on the Eclipse via Orbitz for $119/night (a very reasonable rate for a standard room). After signing up for HHonors this morning, I was able to get a tower room for $124/night.
Thanks all for the tips

Thanks for the great information - helps out a Celebrity newb like myself

Now that the Pride is going to all 3 ports again, more then likely it will not arrive back until close to 10am.. That means boarding will begin somewhere between 1 and 2pm... You can certainly arrive at noon, some people will be arriving by 10:30am, but I would not expect to board until after 1pm at the earliest.. Having FTTF on the pride sailings usually does not help too much with boarding, as in most trips, everyone can get to their cabin right when they board as its usually around 1:30 or later. It will help you if you need to go to guest services as you will not have to wait in the regular line
Yeah, that was kind of my thinking as well. Both FTTF awhile ago (since this was our first cruise in over 20 years), so it will still be worth it if our luggage is already in the room after we board. It's all good

For those who have stayed here and cruised out of cruise terminal across the street, were you able to just walk over on embarkation day or did you have to take a shuttle or taxi?
