The water is beautiful in the Bahamas. My first trip to the Bahamas was a land vacation. I swore I would never go back because it was dirty/didn't feel safe. I have since been back 5 times on cruises. While it us still not my favorite place, I can always find something to do. I always book an excursion though.

Did the cabins provide a hair dryer?

I have only been to New Zealand on a land vacation, but it was incredible. I would not second guess your choice. I would just plan my next cruise for the South Pacific.

The only thing I wished I had was an electrical cord that provided extra outlets. With three young women in the room we need more than the one provided at the vanity. And this was before everyone had cell phones, IPads, etc...

Elation was my first cruise 12 years ago. I thought it was a beautiful ship, of course I had nothing to compare it to. It got me hooked on cruising!

I've sailed on Victory twice, loved it. It was a great ship.

I have only done the Paradise Island by Twister. It was a beautiful beach, but it got boring and there was no way to leave. The lunch was decent, not great.

Does anyone know if you can take the Twister boat ride without going to Passion Island? My nephew really wants to go on it, but I do not care to do Passion Island again.

Karl with a K is the only cruise director I remember. Hilarious and very talented. Does anyone know what happened to him? I don't see him on a cruise now.

Great review! I loved all the pictures. I'm sailing on Breeze next month and although it is a different itinerary, it has me excited!

I would go on the cruise. As sad as it is, there is nothing that you can do at home to help your niece. If your sister is telling you to go, I would.

I'm sure you're all much better versed in this than I am, but at some point can't Egon cancel the rest of his cruise without penalty and switch to another line that will treat him better? Maybe another line (tracking this thread) would be willing to help him out and would love to have him as a passenger?

That it was I was thinking. I personally don't see how they have treated him so poorly though. He wants to play the piano, he cannot expect to be paid for it. The organ idea is something that he wants, not the cruiseline.

I think it is a shame that he is paying high prices each week instead of the advertised sale prices. For that reason, I would cancel and rebook.

I agree that a world cruise probably would have been a better choice. It would be nice to be able to make and keep friends on the ship.

Thanks for all the pictures. I have been on Imagination twice and have only a couple of the ship. It was nice to see it again before I am back on it in August.

I think Carnival's is much better. I didn't enjoy any of my meals in the main dining room on RCI. They weren't bad, but they were not good. On Carnival I have enjoyed almost all of my meals.
