  1. Booked a last minute 3 day cruise on Allure (about 18 days out). When I saw a CL suite was available I snatched it up without looking too hard at it. I then went to look at a YouTube video and saw it was accessible (If it was listed as accessible when I booked it I didn't see it.) There are no other crown loft suites available.

I feel sorta bad and I see the assessible rules on the RC website, but there was never a pop up or warning or a form to fill out about accessible needs.

I don't want to get in "trouble" or have an awkward moment at check in.

    Thoughts?

Waste of towels and room stewards time. Glad to never have received one!

To each their own, but if you saw the joy on my children's faces when they saw the animals you might think differently.

  3. Was on regal in the corner aft suite over thanksgiving, and will be again in essentially the same suite on Royal in 2 weeks.

I decided I had to reply because someone above mentioned these suites were overpriced, not big, and sooty.

    1. Price, yes they are more than the suites on older princess ships, but less than similar sized suites on celebrity. We were in a Royal suite on celebrity and though it was technically bigger, we both enjoyed the princess room more due to the balcony.

    2. We are a fairly young couple (38,30) with a baby: the suite was perfect to put the crib in the living room and still have privacy. Bathroom very nice.

3 Soot, Yes there is soot on the balcony but I din't find it a big deal as the steward hosed it off every day. The balcony is AMAZING, literally the best cruise balcony I have ever seen (except maybe on some old-school celebrety ship that probably doesnt exist anymore).

The regal was my favorite ship to date given the improvement in MDR and buffet food over prior princess models.

  4. We did the platinum sitting for our last cruise with our then 9 month old. The photographer was very pleasant but completely unaware of how to shoot babies and had no appropriate tools. She asked us if he would smile on command (9 months lol, he barely knows where his feet are.) I guess this can be expected from a non-Disney line.

Certainly no pic's came out well enough to justify the (IMO) exorbitant prices.

  5. Hello all, long time reader but don't believe I have ever posted.

We will be going on Royal 10-day southern in two weeks. This will actually be our little boy's 3rd cruise believe it or not, but this one is special as he will turn one!

I called both travel agent and princess and didn't get a great feel for what they could arrange beyond the basics that I see all the time (balloons, door decorations.)

Since this is a first birthday, I would like a personalized cake that he can mash in his face, photographer, any anything else that will make it special. I'm happy to pay for these but I can't figure out how. I suppose I could just talk w/ the concierge once on board, but just didn't want to take the chance of it being to late too arrange something.

    Thanks!:D
