Yes Ozwoody, the first part of the holiday is a cruise to Hawaii and then our travels are land based in Hawaii and then across to the US mainland.

My wife and I are heading off on a 6 week "start of retirement" holiday next year which includes a 17 night repositioning cruise to Hawaii from Sydney.

I have a question for fellow Australian travellers in regard to buying travel insurance. Can we buy a policy which has part land and part cruise because when I select the cruise option on travel insurance quotes, the price increase accordingly, which I understand. However, we aren't actually cruising for the entire 6 weeks and am trying to find a policy which meets our needs.

Has anyone else met this challenge previously?

Does Qantas travel insurance have a cruise cover?

It will be interesting to see the response of people in QLD & WA when the overseas border restriction is removed by the Commonwealth and these two states continue to impose border restrictions.

I'm trying find the price of beer/proseco/white wine/cocktails if we were purchasing individually on-board ...... so that we can ascertain if it is worth having the Classic Package.

Can anyone head me in the direction of seeing an up to date price list for Celebrity Solstice. Wanting to know the price of a beer (say Corona/Bud), glass of bubbles, glass of pinot gris.

Trying to work out if the Classic Package is something we should consider ... especially with the current discount offered.

I am interested why perks aren’t offered on repositioning cruises. Is it because they aren’t a problem to sell out?

I hope the media keep hounding the house of this shocking family continually. Fancy ruining this cruise for many many people with their bullying, antagonistic, and violent actions ......... and then crying victim to the police when the media find where they live.

I hope they are publicly exposed with their faces plastered across the television, newspapers and social media ....... especially the big bloke who gave everyone the bird when taken off the ship.

They should be named and shamed!

For heavens sake, why do some people get so twisted over minor issues.

We go on cruises to relax and enjoy well deserved holidays and take a break. We certainly don't allow art auctions (or any other on-board activity that I am not interested in) to create negative vibes.

Some people must enjoy the art auctions ..... and good for them.

Stop being grumblers and think positive thoughts ...... you may find your holidays far more enjoyable.

We are heading on Westerdam in August and eagerly looking forward to our adventure. And honestly, I really don't care about the changes on the ship because I would never let anything ruin a well deserved holiday.

We are cruising on Westerdam in August and will be visiting Gozo (Malta) on the 18th August. The ship is scheduled to depart at 17.00, so I am wondering what time the last tender would leave for the ship.

We are wanting to do the full day quad bike tour but it finishes at 16.30 which I doubt would be sufficient time to get on board.

Has anyone done the quad bike tour before?

We were on the Westerdam last November. Our routine is as soon as we board we go right to the lido where the reservations host will be and request a table for 2 at a certain time. We then request the same table (if we like it) as we leave the dining room, and have found it is ours for the rest of the cruise.

Hello Cindy. We are going on the Westerdam in August and I am interested in your Taxi Tour at Corfu. Did you do one of their promoted tours or did you make up your own itinerary? Plus, how long was your tour because it looks like a great day.

I note their Best of Corfu tour .... was this the one you did?

Great reading too ... if anyone knows of similar reviews of Med cruises I would certainly appreciate any links.

I guess the weather gets cooler as the ship gets closer to NZ. But the enclosed pool area would still be OK?

Dear o dear ..... some people need to relax and enjoy life a bit. The is not a first world problem but an interesting fun story from the OP.

Has anyone done the Hawaii to Sydney cruise on Celebrity Solstice previously? We are booked on this cruise in 2018 departing on 1st October and would be keen to hear other people's experiences.

We are planning our shore excursions for our Mediterranean cruise in August and have come across a company called The Travel Insiders who offer private and semi private tours on Santorini and Athens.

Am interested is anyone has previous experience with this company and their thoughts.

We are cruising on Westerdam in a couple of months and interested in the dry dock upgrade.

We are on Westerdam in August and our ship doesnt arrive into Messina until 1.00pm ..... and departs at 10.00pm.

Accordingly, it would be too late to do a haf day tour by the time we disembark ..... therefore we are thinking best to spend our day around Messina.

Would appreciate what others suggest we do for the afternoon. Is there a HOHO bus?
