  1. I purchased the Manulife Covid-19 Pandemic Travel Plan through Costco, and the wording regarding the Emergency Medical exlusion is:

    25.
Any act of terrorism or any medical condition you suffer or contract when an official travel advisory issued by the Government of Canada states, "Avoid all non-essential travel" regarding the country, region or city of your destination, before your effective date. To view the travel advisories, visit the Government of Canada Travel site. For claims due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), this exclusion does not apply. Exception: Treatment for Coronavirus (COVID-19) and related complications that you suffer or contract while you are on a cruise or any destination included in your cruise itinerary is not covered if you have not received the vaccine. This exception does not apply to children 11 years old or younger who are not eligible to receive the vaccine, when travelling with at least one parent or guardian on the same cruise booking who has received the vaccine. For claims not due to Coronavirus (COVID-19), this exclusion does not apply if your medical condition is unrelated to the travel advisory.

Seems to me it covers cruises, if you are fully vaccinated.

  2. I have a B2B question if I can piggy back off of this thread. How do you handle the bottle of wine you can bring onboard for the second leg? Would you have to leave to get one out of your vehicle? Can you pick one up in a port on the first leg and have them keep it until the second leg? Or is there another process?

You can bring both bottles with you when you embark for your first cruise - make sure you have both boarding passes with you to show to the screeners.

  3. My DW and I will be sailing on the Glory in November and have greatly enjoyed having balcony cabins on several past cruises. I was able to book an Aft View Extended Balcony cabin 7447. My DW loves sitting on the balcony to read a book and trying to find more info on cruisers experiences

I have only found older posts but nothing current. Has any one had this cabin before or similar on that deck recently?

Read that these cabins can be very hot because of the balcony being exposed to lots of sun. Has anyone experience that issue? Is it always in full sun or is part in the shade?

Also read something about garbage showing up on their balcony. Any one experience that problem?

    What about noise?

What about smoking smells? - heard Carnival doesn't allow it on balconies anymore.

Any info you all could provide is appreciated

I was in 7451 in November and loved it. There was no noise and no garbage. We had one lounger and one chair and a small table. There was plenty of room for a second lounger. I am not a sun worshipper and at most times of the day had no problem finding shade. Of course that is very dependent on the direction the ship is traveling! Did not ever smell smoke.

  4. We are going in a couple of weeks and would like to find Lazy Days. We will take a taxi to the craft & spice market at Grand Anse (small boats make the DH seasick so the water taxi is out). From the market, which way would we turn to find Lazy Days?

If you are facing the water turn left to get to Lazy Days

  5. We will be in St. Martin in a few weeks and want to spend the day at Orient Bay. I have read that parts of the beach are under construction, but I know there are large areas that are unaffected.

Where should we ask to be dropped off by the taxi?

    Thanks for any information.

  6. I would expect two elegant nights on each Journeys cruise. The one with the Captain's cocktail party promises to be more formal than we're used to on such days.

According to John Heald on FB there will be 3 elegant nights on our 14 day Glory cruise - the 2 regularly held, and an additional "throw-back" elegant evening with the Captain's cocktail party (drinks included!) held on the "throw-back 80's" sea day.

  7. We will be in St. Thomas in November. We are planning to go to Sapphire Beach in the morning. We thought we would have the cab drop us off at Paradise Point on the way back to the ship. Are we missing a lot by not taking the sky ride? Are there cabs available at Paradise Point to take us back to the ship or is it easily walkable?
