  1. We just got off the Liberty a week ago. It was our second cruise with it. We got FTTF for our upcoming cruise as well. We didn't have any line at all at PC and were onboard and in our cabins within 10 minutes of us arriving at port, which was 10:45 am. When we got back to PC, we waited for approx 10 minutes and were off the ship by 7:45 am. It was great and we love it.

  2. We sailed on the Freedom last August with our two DSs (16 & 14). They both loved the ship and were never bored. The Freedom does not have the ropes course or a newer slide, but our sons had a great time. They both made friends (our oldest made one before we boarded because of the roll call) and they still keep in touch with these friends. They both loved their clubs, one in Circle C, the other in Club O2. Both talk about the cruise a lot, actually all of them. I think either ship would be cool for them if you sail when there will be other kids around.

Just a side note: We sailed on the much smaller Fascination in Nov 2012, kids even had a blast on that one and there were plenty of teens even during the school year. They still had lots of things to occupy them.

    Happy sailing!

  3. We sailed in Nov and I was worried about the same thing for our teens, especially since one was Club O2 and the other in Circle C, however, there was plenty of teens, not as many as the summer, but the smaller group made for fast friends and our boys still talk to some of them from Nov 2012. And I did the same thing as you, posted and asked about how many teens in Nov. I was honestly pleasantly surprised!

  4. We always book with our kids across the hall from us, however, a family we know was on a cruise with us one time-just by chance, we didn't plan it. I was talking to them and they had booked the mom and 2 kids in one and the dad and the other kid in another, but once they were onboard, they just went and changed it so the kids were together and they were together. Should be no problem. At the time of that cruise, our kids were all the same age-14 and 12

  5. Our son turned 16 while on the Fascination. Prior to us boarding, I had ordered a bday cake for him with the instructions for it to be delivered during dinner. When we got to the MDR, I told the matre d about the cake and when it came time for dessert, they made a little hat out of a napkin, put it on him and sang happy birthday. I did not decorate his cabin or anything as he told me in advance he would tear anything down, but the steward came told him happy birthday.

  6. Sorry to ask another question, but we are taking an 8 day in August, we will turn to gold on our last day at sea--we would still be gold for the entire cruise? I called Carnival and like the other response said, it said we would be red until our next cruise. I didn't know if it was because we turn gold on the last day. Thanks.
