My rule of thumb is to always book the port side, don't always get the best view in port, but I always know that when I come out of my door to the left is forwards and to the right is aft! It helps!

They sold clip on holders for the Medallion on board in several colors for $6. I really liked it

We have always used pill boxes and bring along a print out of your meds from your doctor or pharmacy.

I'm doing my first solo cruise in January and am looking forward to it. My suggestion for you is to try a 555 drink, you can only get it at the steak house and it was wonderful. A great "sipping" drink!

I don't agree about the correlation between servers and drink packages. We have had the package and have noted that the tip is included in each drink, not just an overall lump sum.

I learned that the ship's infirmary was great. My husband had to evacuated while in port at Grand Cayman. The shipboard staff were all incredible. The port agent that was there to "help" me was useless. The hospital was excellent and had a room for me to stay in. (this is coming from an old ER/ICU Nurse). Always have trip insurance and even on Medicare apply to your supplemental medical insurance - they paid for part of the hospital costs.

I also bring a Sharpie to write on the bag. Pens can easily tear the paper ones.

My husband used a cpap and we cruised often. There is a plug in behind the bed - it is a European plug in, but we kept an adapter in the cpap bag, along with an extension cord and a mat to keep the machine from slipping. As soon as we got to the room, we just pulled the bed out a bit, unplugged one of the bedside laps and plugged his machine in, without having to worry about tripping over the cord, or taping it down. Worked great.

We took a taxi there a few years ago - no trouble getting there and the aquarium was great, took us a while out in the sun to get a taxi back. If I were to do it again, I would try and get an assurance from someone to come and get us. As I remember, they weren't so helpful at the aquarium to help us.

When we were there this summer, they had photographers stationed in front of some of the exhibits. They will take you picture and give you a card, so you can get it on line - for free.
Do go, it was wonderful. On my bucket list.

I take a couple of battery operated tea light "candles" and turn them on before we go to bed and it's just enough light - especially since it reflects in the mirror.

We were on the Breeze for the past 2 weeks and ship time remained as Eastern time.

We liked the Breeze much better than the Sunshine. We book balconies and the cabin on the Sunshine seemed smaller and the bathroom was much smaller - I think the shower might have been bigger - but the rest of the bathroom was smaller. There are no mini-fridges on the Sunshine (unless you need one for meds) - but then it isn't built in and takes up space. Also the Sunshine left out of New Orleans and that is my least favorite embarkation port. If there will be more than 2 in the room go for the Breeze. We're going back this winter and trying a cove - can't wait!
