  1. Hi all. We are going on a western carib on the Breeze in November and I really want to try parasailing. Any recommendations in Cozumel, Montego Bay, or Grand Cayman? Thanks!

  2. Just got off the Magic with anytime dining. I would encourage you to be patient as you will likely have to wait about 30 minutes depending on when you arrive. We had Haris and his team who were great. Enjoy your cruise. Btw its the northern lights on level 3 across from guest services.

  3. I just got off the Magic 12/1 sailing and we went to Grand Cayman. I didn't see any $3 cabs. The cheapest was $4 per person to royal ?? and it was $2 to use the beach. The chairs and umbrellas were extra. The beach was so beautiful, the bathrooms were clean, the bar area was hopping. It was not what we had planned for the day but turned into the families favorite outing of the cruise. Have fun!

  4. To the poster who said they can't afford, Disney:

I paid the same on DCL (3 day FABULOUS balcony room and complete WOW cruise and private island, 4 day interior coming up with private island) as I did on CCL (spa interior and no private island). ..

I'm not doubting your report but can you share where and how far in advance you booked because even the 4 day cruises in an interior room were almost twice what I paid for a 7-day oceanview. I would love to take my kids on DCL but I personally cannot justify the price. I would rather take a 7 day on Carnival and do 4-5 days in the WDW parks for that price but if I could find a deal like yours we might rethink it :D

  5. I could definitely see why this is frustrating. I have kids I am taking on the Magic on Sunday and this is one of the things they saw on the website and they were excited about it. I can't afford DCL and Carnival has promoted itself as a family friendly option. Unfortunate.

  6. We don't home school, but we make port stops very educational and based around our daughter. Our daughter is 9 and goes to a small school of 33 students ( she is in a 4-6th grade classroom). With work we can only cruise December-February, so we take her out of school (holiday cruises too expensive), we bring her homework and do it daily, but make up worksheets for each port.

Worksheets have local flora, fauna, collect leaves or shells, see local currency, color the countries flag with colored pencils etc.. We try to hit historic buildings, museums, zoos, eat local foods, always try to visit a school or orphanage and avoid beaches, ziplines etc..

All 3 of us love doing ports this way actually.

Would you be willing to share your worksheets? I would love to see them :D

  7. I do not think you are being snooty. I think its tacky. I understand that we are all cruising together but if you choose to go out in public in it, you understand that someone will likely comment. It's not going to negatively affect my cruise but I do think it's tacky.
