We were on the Independence in August and we did not get any vouchers and I did not know we could get 3 free drinks a night. About the 3rd night I decided to get a drink before dinner and when the bartender took my card, she gave it back to me and said since I was Diamond I get 3 free a night. Never took my card for the rest of the cruise. It was between 4 or 5 and 8 pm only

I am so sorry to hear that they both have passed. I met them on their last cruise which was to Hawaii. Then of course on these boards I heard Brenda had had a stroke and Alan (camera guy), made daily posts of their disappointments and accomplishment. I kept up with their posts for awhile.

May they both rest in peace and their daughter has the strength to keep moving foward.

We were on the Independence last month and the non-smoking area in the casino was pretty good. When I did smell smoke when I was sitting close to the "border", I moved.

I was on the Jewel about two years ago, in the casino and the gentleman next to me (I was in the non-smoking), lit up a cigarette. I mentioned he was in the non-smoking section and he said "so". I got up and left and went the desk and asked them if they could mention to him he was in the non-smoking area and they said no we cannot.

We were in 7612 last year and it was perfectly fine. I liked it because (it is an accessible cabin) it had a button for my husband to push so the door could open for him to get his scooter out. We were just on the Independence and that ship did not have this feature. Made it difficult for him to come and go alone as he always needed someone to open the doors.

Good location, we love the aft cabins near the Centrum elevators
